Bortles for MVP!!
How the fuck can you lose at home when your QB throws for 500 yards, with 5 TDs, and you are playing a team without a league-standard QB? That's astounding.
The fucking Patriots are going to walk this. Goddam i hate them so much.
-
Big Ben was amazing against the Jags defense, particularly in that 2nd half. Just so many unbelievable big time throws.
I hate the Jags, their fan base is fast becoming one of the most irritating in the league.
They are overdosing on success after years of futility. Their fans haven't had it this good since the glory days of Jake Delhomme!!!
-
Holy crap! That was a helluva ending to a game.
Vikings win it with a last second TD.
a last second, 60 yard TD. Good game from the look of it, really even.
And with the Saints gone, is there anyone left who you think have any shot of downing fucking Brady and the fucking Patriots?
-
@mariner4life Vikings Super Bowl at home in Minnesota would be a real test for the Patriots. Hope they do it.
The replay of Keenum was awesome - he had a delayed reaction of 'wtf just happened' before erupting in celebration - brilliant.

Keenum vs Foles in the NFC Championship game now. Who would've predicted that?
I'm guessing it'll be the Vikings and Patriots in the Super Bowl.

There goes my Steelers/Saints Superbowl….
Brady is the only proven QB left in the race. Noone would have picked that Bortles, Keenum and Foles would be leading teams into the final four.
I rate Keenum as a QB, maybe not Kurt Warner but definitely Jake Delhomme, so pick Minnesota to beat the Eagles. Pats will crush Jacksonville but maybe it’s Bortles-time?
-
Keenum gets a bad rep just cos he wasn't a high draft pick (or even drafted at all). He threw for the exact same completion % as Brees today and for even more yards (over 300).
Keenum is much better (or at least in much better form) than Foles and Bortles.
-
@dice Final play of the game, just wait for the Vikings WR to catch the ball and then wrap him up so he can't offload to a teammate. Game over. "Nah, fuck it," thinks the Saints safety as he goes full smashed em bro at the WR, puts his head down and goes arse over end into the only other Saints defender who could catch Diggs. Faaarrrkk.
Just watched the highlights for both games. Jags/Steelers is a bizarre game. I don't know how Jacksonville got out to that big of a lead or how they managed to hold off Big Ben willing Pittsburgh down the home straight.
The Vikings/Saints played out as I thought. I just assumed it would be Drew Brees throwing the last second play to win the game. If you ignore the jersey colour, Case Keenum played very similar to Brees in the pocket.

I think Mike Tomlin has to take the blame here.
You're a defensive coach. You're playing against a team with a weak quarterback (Jags). You had two weeks to prepare. You've already played the Jags once this year and got smacked. Buffalo held the Jags to 10 points the week before. Surely the plan is to stop the run and make Bortles beat you with his arm - nope instead his defense gets absolutely shredded.
Tomlin has to be in the conversation for the most overrated coach in the league.
-
Reminded me of the Broncos losing to I think it was the Ravens on the last throw of the game a couple of years back, when a corner makes a horrible, horrible read, gets no where near the ball, and bang, game over. FUCK.

They were too busy planning for the Patriots.

I don't think any of us mentioned that the Titans choose to let their head coach Mike Mularkey walk (he wasn't that good anyway) on Tuesday. They just did a quick search and have announced former Pats LB/TE Mike Vrabel will be their new head coach. Vrabel was defensive co-ordinator for the Texans this season.
Thought they would have at least waited until the New England co-ordinators were free to talk to them. -
@sneakdefreak looks like both New England Coordinators are locked into jobs - McDaniels to Colts, Patricia to Lions.

McDaniels to the Colts surprises me. After his struggles with the Broncos I thought he'd be looking to set himself up as heir to Belicheck. I guess with a settled qb situation, good draft capital and a couple of seasons of poor results damping fan expectations the Colts could be a good bet.

On the downside they have an erratic junky owner

AFC Champs underway. Pats score on their opening drive with a field goal.
