Black Caps vs Windies Series

Decent finish from the Windies gets them something defendable, though it shouldn't be enough.
Braces with 4 but our most expensive by a fair margin. Astle finishes with the awesome figures of 3/33 though obviously gets the luxury of bowling through the middle stages.

bet that dude that dropped that catch while wearing his Tui shirt is still pissed

Is that a big flash new bridge over the harbour?
@Godder
@taniwharugbyNot so new, they were celebrating 10,000 ‘openings’ in the local paper this morning.
Gee the start from Southee and Boult was impressive, had it on a string!
Glad the Windows got to 240-50 What ever it was (sorry had a few), means hopefully we see a decent chase and some fireworks from Munro.
Edit: by Windows I mean Windies, bloody predictive text....

26 from 16 to date so he's got a start.

51 average with a 98 strike rate in the longer forms is pretty outrageous, but kind of explains why he hasn't really been considered for higher honours at test - he's more a flat track bully then someone that can survive quality bowling in tougher conditions. His HS of 281 must have been an entertaining innings though!
-
These two have ridden their luck a bit, quite a few plays and misses and quite a few hit in the air, albeit powerfully. They've got us away to the perfect start though.

I'm admittedly not the keenest follower of our domestic game but fuck me days. Those figures should have him in in a heartbeat.

Scott Styris ? ( I'm not watching just guessing in an educated manner )

No. The chick.
Can't pick the voice.
It's neither of the non-males used in the test (Hockley and Lewis).
Sounds maybe Rikki Swannell but I don't know her cricket pedigree. Or even Bernadene Oliver-Kirby. Again not sure her crickay background.
Anyway she's not awful for ball by ball.

Hasn’t spotted Serena Williams in the crowd either.

Did Powell bowl that wide on purpose? I think so...
Very comfortable win, not much to talk about this tour to date other then the Windies are being outclassed in all areas.
-
The thing about having Bracewell or Astle at 7 is that it actually lets us pick 5 proper bowlers which is worthwhile. Anderson is a decent option at the depth but I'm not always confident with him bowling ten overs. I think five bowlers could work sometimes as long as enough of those bowlers can hold the bat. If our top six contains Williamson, Taylor and Guptill with a specialist bat at six and a strong wicket keeper batsman in Latham.
At least we don't have Jason Holder batting at 6.
-
So is Gayle just here to bat?
Strangely absent for the entire Windies bowling part of their day.
I guess when your the boss of the world or whatever ridiculous shit he calls himself you can pick and choose what you want to contribute to your team. And clearly standing around the field for 3 1/2 hours is below him.
