@kiwiinmelb looks like the Tongans are giving us a lesson on what we should have done in 2007, protests through the streets of Paris!
'Give us our win , give us our win " ..... so effective
Damm, why couldnt we think of that ?

so there is a protest on Queens Street right now by Tongan fans...
Twats
3rd night of ignorant fluffybunnies honking their horns for hours on end. It went on for 7 hours last night and we are at 5 hours so far tonight.
Oh cool the media is talking up the
passionretardationWhere are the police? Well it’s a bit like the hecklers veto but this time with the fear of violence.
-
Worst part is , do they actually understand the ref may be right ?
What the fuck are they actually protesting about and what do they hope to achieve. ?

I don’t think it has much to do with the game anymore.. the later evening crowd is just enjoying the disruption and anti social behaviour. It’s a really scummy group out there right now
Most other groups would have been dispersed. The cops are waiting it out because they are worried about violence.. which makes sense when there is no negative media coverage. That lack of negativity means there is no pressure for them to do their job
Tough shit for the thousands that live in the city and pay the cops salaries..

Barrister Nalesoni Tupou is petitioning the Rugby League International Federation (RLIF) to award Tonga a try and a conversion for the play, which would gift Tonga a 24-18 victory and send them into Saturday's final against Australia.
Is it just me, or do people see racism everywhere nowadays? And is the Tongan team/union risking to be seen as sore losers by hiring a lawyer? Can they even achieve what they want?
-
This is becoming absurd. Has anyone from the team come out and said thanks for the support, but we had 80mins and didn't score enough points?

Yup
-
Then this is probably symptomatic of a broader issue. Because I sincerely doubt being next to lose (badly) to the Kangaroos means that much to anyone.

Like Duluth said, just an excuse for a bunch of idiots to be as disruptive as they can be.
Imagine staying in the hotel while that horde were down below outside acting as they were. -
Bloody Tongans, you'd never get this from Samoans..... just trolling...
Pack mentality mixed with a little bit of not understanding how things work and you end up with this shit. Not an indictment on Tongan people, there's ignorance everywhere.
What made me laugh was the hopelessness of it. The referee is Australian, neither team is from where the game was played and the governing body is based in London....protesting in NZ achieves what? Ms Adhern isn't going to call WRL and request a review, it wasn't the Kiwi's that played. Other than having multiple NZers play for Tonga and having the game here, NZ plays no part in any of this. Its hilarious to me.
-
Old Mitchy Pearce decides to sign a $4 million deal with the Knights. Newcastle needed to meet the salary cap limit so threw a ton of cash at Pearce to get there. Not a bad player for them to pick up and looking at their 2018 roster I don't think Newcastle will win the wooden spoon.

Yeah its a combination of funny and stupid ,
the worst part is ,with all the over reaction, the decision wasnt that bad .
-
This is fucken ridiculous

@virgil I think they should open an inquiry in to the state of Fifita's mental state. He has an ongoing battle of mental illness and he may not have been the right person to make that last carry in a pressure situation....
he's also a fat grub, so fuck that guy.
-
at least they dropped legal action

I might be wrong but I feel you commented without knowing the context of my comment but I like the intensity. If this was american sport you'd get a pat on the arse.
-
@raznomore i don't need much of an excuse to have a crack at that grub to be honest.
But yea, your point was good too...
-
@mariner4life now i feel like the guy that came last and still got an award...
Fafita ruined my MMT love affair to be honest. Everytime I watched Tonga I'd be happy they were doing so well and then he'd come into the play. It was a serious conflict for me. Hating Kidwell and Blair took up alot of my hate quota but I still had enough to actually be happy it was him who had the "loose carry".
