Doesn't seem that long ago , ( what was it 3 years ago? ) when we were looking at probably the best kiwi team of all time ,
Fuck , that unraveled quickly

Yup didn’t we beat like 3 or 4 times in a row?
Those days are long long long gone -

Funny watching and reading everything afterwards. SJ’s petulance, Blair’s fuckwittedness, and Kidwell’s lack of insight to immediately resign suggest that result was foretold months ago.
Must be hard for SJ to be at the heart of 2 failing teams.

Or he’s a big part of the problem...

I still think SJ is a seriously talented player but the chief playmaking role given to him by the warriors and the kiwis doesn't seem to suit him ,
Too late now but Maybe fullback would've suited him more
-
@kiwiinmelb if he had the right players alongside him it would make a huge difference.
While I am sure these guys are trying thier best, there is something seriously wrong at the heart of the Warriors and Kiwis.

Didn’t want to be the one to say it..
On the other side it must be sour destroying for a guy like Mannering who actually gives his all but also suffers for being a part of the same 2 miserable failure of a team(s) -
Now they are the victims..
See there’s their first problem, it’s supposed to be a no dickhead policy.

Couldn't believe the comments by Blair and Johnson after the game. Hey Adam, guess what dude, all the happy clappy stuff means jack shit when you play like a bunch of muppets on the field. (With apologies to muppets, I know they don't deserve the comparison.) And Johnson, you fucking diva, you aren't entitled to fans. You earn them by playing with heart and determination and skill.
NZRL and the Warriors both need to wake up fast to the fact that fan loyalty isn't infinite. And you can't trade on past glories forever.

I started a post, and now will finish. He has never been the same since that injury at the end of 2012 (I think) whether thats due to injury or Maloney leaving around then thus the burden to be "the man" weighing him down. He just doesn't play with that free & easy spirit of that time (he's also probably been largely figured out by most opposition teams now)
The players brought in to the Warriors to assist SJ have been busts too - that pommy full back, Isaac Luke, never rated Thomas Leualai that highly.
And then clearly theres some culture bullshit around both Warriors and Kiwis that hasn't helped. -
Just listened to an interview with Kidwell. Jaysus.
I know Kidwell is not the smartest guy, and his dumbness might be the reason he comes across as a perfect blend of delusional and arrogant, but he blamed the fans for the team's shit RLWC campaign, claimed the team is heading in the right direction and tried to come across as the victim of this debacle. All within a ten-minute interview.

I don't think I could listen to an interview with him - I'd put my head through a plate glass window.
