After another (unconverted) try to Rayasi, Emerson scores his second. The kicker can't kick. 29-0 NZ

After a good break from Houston, Hyland scores just before the hooter goes. Full time: 34-0 to NZ.

Commentator refers to NZ and Tonga as the "South Sea Islands". 😀

Thanks to New Zealand's positive points differential, they are still going through to the Cup Quarter Finals, despite two losses. A bit weird, but hopefully they'll play better tomorrow.

The AB7s Development team will play the Aussies in the Cup QF of the Silicon Valley Sevens at 9:04am.
Not much hope of winning if they play like they did yesterday, esp. with the Aussies finishing first.

    Livestream:

NZ destroyed by Australia. Not sure whether this is a full strenght Aussie team, but losing 40 - 7 is embarrassing.

After another loss to Fiji (15-26), the AB7s Dev team went on to beat Japan 26 - 5 to finish 7th overall. Yuck!

37 seconds into the first game, and Portia Woodman has already scored her first try of the tournament.

Poor Tahiti, being hammered by our Kiwi women. Ruthless. 21-0 after 3 and half minutes.

Half time: 42-0 to the Black Ferns 7s.

It's great that so many Pacific nations participate in this tournament, including teams that are far from the level of the World Series' core nations. They get the chance to play against the best and no doubt will learn from it. But for NZ, Australia and also Fiji, these games are just opposed training runs.

The Black Ferns 7s just beat Cook Islands 26 to 5. The Cook Islands offered much better opposition and defended well. They kept the Ferns at 5-5 at half time. Sarah Goss was immense and made a lot of turnovers. Woodman, of course, scored a few of the NZ tries. Still several work-ons for the Kiwis, but it looks promising. One more pool game to go, before they'll be really tested in the finals tomorrow.

The All Blacks 7s have beaten American Samoa in the Quarter Finals: 58 - 0. Another easy win against a weak opponent. They will meet Australia in the semis at 3.00pm, so that should be more of a challenge! Allthough ... the Aussies only just beat PNG (22-21).

The Black Ferns 7s will play their semi-final against Fiji at 1.20pm.

It's again LIVE on Sky Sports Pop-up 4 (ch 58) in NZ. There's a livestream for viewers outside NZ and Fiji: https://livestream.com/accounts/19514369/oceania7s

Shame about the weather. Typical really - Fiji, especially in the West, are desperately in need of rain yet over in Suva it is raining enough to make things unpleasant for everyone involved in the 7s. Tonga v Cook Islands ladies match on now. Tonga trying something new for sevens - looks like they are going for the power game.

Games were back on after a bad weather break. The first 5th-8th semi-final between PNG and American Samoa has just finished. And .... there is another break. The field looks like a swimming pool. The only thing lacking is some ducks.

Ha, the All Blacks 7s are smashing the Aussies. Awful conditions, terrible field. Really increasing the risk of injury (Collier being one of the victims already).

The AB 7s beat Australia 31 to nil.

Due to the weather, there's more than 2 hours delay of all games.

The Black Ferns 7s will play Australia in the women's Final and the All Blacks 7s will play Fiji in the men's Final. Not sure at what time, but I think it will be after 8.30pm, unless they scratch a few games (something I don't think they'll do).
