I know it is before your 1973 cut-off but was a certain AB prop the first ever to play against the ABs? He also scored their only points in that match.
I doubt it, there were a couple of Scottish players in 20s who had played for the ABs IIRC.

Never heard of that/them.
But for Bovidae's question. I'd doubt it as often the early 20th Century AB tours started with a local game v Auckland etc before they got on the boat. Would think there's a chance an ex-AB played in one of those.

ABs who have also played in a match for the opposition against the ABs.
When thinking of this I had in my mind Frano Botica for Llanelli and Paul Koteka for Western Australia, but when I looked the games up neither of them played.
Bit of a cheat in that 2 of the answers played against the ABs before they later became ABs.
Chose post-1973 (year of internal tour).
Dude. You spelt 5th on the list 1993 for Samoa wrong.
Wasn't 73 the internal tour when Meads and Goung (maybe others) played against and beat the ABs. Will have to look that up...
Also didn't

Also pretty sure there was an AB who played for WA on tour ... or tgat may have been a WAstrayan who played for the ABs...? Either way pretty sure it was before the 73 cut off.

Cheers. Missed him.

Latest quiz. 120 or more test caps. Will be interesting to see if any of the players active can overtake McCaw. A certain Welsh player (who is on 119) may just overtake him as well as only just turned 32 and pretty much a certain selection if fit.

I missed 2. I typed in the second-most capped Italian player a couple of times thinking I'd misspelled his name. I completely forgot about who it was - fitting for his reputation on the world stage.
Ditto for the second-most capped Wallaby. I tried every other centurion I could think of, except him. That sums up what I think of him.

Appreciate these are piss easy but did a map quiz for the Crusaders Region.
