Do the Crusaders still have Leon Fukofuka? Is he even still in NZ, as I can't recall seeing him for Auckland this season. If he's still on the books then there's a logjam after Hall and Drummond consisting of Stratton, Enari and Fukofuka and surely someone will sign elsewhere.

Kia Ora Everyone, Big mihi for all the support and especially the messages over the past week. The Surgeon is wrapped with how the Operation went. I had the Labrum, Rotator Cuff , Supraspinatus/infraspinatus and Bicep tendon all repaired which is similar to the surgery on my left wing last year. Rehab / Recovery should be around 6-7months, however first stage is a couple weeks rest while the wounds heal and then go from there. I have learnt from past injuries to not worry about what is out of my control, take it one step at a time and focus on the "here&now". Combine those with a relentless drive to come back stronger and I know I've got this 👊 I'll keep you posted on my Road2Recovery ❤ - NMS

Ere Enari. Another one out for the 2018 Super Rugby season, just after signing with the Crusaders.
Talented halfback Ereatara Enari will miss what would have been his debut season with the BNZ Crusaders in 2018, after breaking his leg playing for Canterbury in the Mitre 10 Cup. (...) "We were really excited to be able to announce that Ere had signed with the BNZ Crusaders in 2018 and 2019. We see huge potential in Ere and believe he has a big future in this team. So to see him break his leg last Friday night and then to confirm that the injury will rule him out of Super Rugby in 2018 was devastating. (...) Enari played one game for the BNZ Crusaders in 2017 (coming off the bench against the Brumbies in round one), while Mitchell Drummond was recovering from his own broken leg, but 2018 would have been his first year named in the squad.

@stargazer Razor thinking ahead by signing a 4th halfback. Well done that man, but thwarted by bad luck. If there's a silver lining to this situation it's that maybe they can sign Jack Stratton for one year as injury cover (if he hasn't already been snapped up elsewhere). Keep a heap of options open.

The Crusaders have re-signed Tim Bateman and signed Mike Delany.

@tim One player I would be having a very good long look at in terms of the Blues is Jade Te Reru, some very good rugby people who follow Manawatu rugby tell me Te Rure is an even better player than Otere Black, does everything required of a top class piviot, but with an even more devastating running game.
I watched him very closely last Sunday when I attended the Turbos v Magpies game,he totally outplayed Ihaia West and was the Turbos best back on the field.
Would be interesting interesting to get some feedback from supporters of the Turbos.

Roger Tuivasa-Sheck's focus could soon turn to a different World Cup as he considers switching to the All Blacks.
The Warriors and Kiwis superstar is officially off contract and permitted to negotiate with rival NRL clubs from Wednesday. While his immediate focus is New Zealand's Rugby League World Cup campaign, which opens against Samoa on Saturday night, Tuivasa-Sheck is seriously weighing up joining the 15-man game.
It's an option the premiership-winning fullback has considered previously. There was an offer to switch to a New Zealand Super Rugby franchise when he was off contract at the Roosters, but he decided to commit to the Warriors on a two-year deal. That contract expires at the end of next year, giving him a full rugby season to make the transition should he decide to press his claims for an All Blacks jersey ahead of the 2019 Rugby World Cup.
Roger Tuivasa-Sheck's focus is now on the Rugby League World Cup, but could he be preparing for the Rugby World Cup in 2019.
PHIL WALTER/GETTY IMAGESRoger Tuivasa-Sheck's focus is now on the Rugby League World Cup, but could he be preparing for the Rugby World Cup in 2019.
"It's entered discussions, I'm not going to deny that," Tuivasa-Sheck's manager Bruce Sharrock said.
Roger Tuivasa-Sheck took on the captaincy duties at the Warriors in 2017.
"We've talked about it and we've certainly talked about it before.
"That's his background, the All Blacks are a world-recognised team with an amazing success rate. If you thought you were good enough to be a part of it, it's not a bad ship to be a part of."
The man dubbed 'RTS' played both codes while attending Otahuhu College in Auckland and was a former member of the New Zealand rugby union schoolboys team. The 24-year-old has already achieved every conceivable honour in rugby league including winning a premiership, representing his country and captaining his club.
"He's at a stage in his career where if he is going to (switch codes), it's probably going to be sooner rather than later," Sharrock said. "Not many people can shift later in their career, it makes it very tough."
The Warriors are desperate to retain Tuivasa-Sheck and have made his signature a priority. The club is about to go through an ownership change, although that won't affect the desire to keep him long-term.
"We've certainly commenced those discussions," Warriors CEO Cameron George said.
"Roger is tied up with the World Cup but we will continue those. We see Roger as a big part of our future."
Asked about the lure of the All Blacks jumper, George said: "Roger is a quality player and person, so opportunities will come his way. The club is very proactive in seeking to retain his services."

What Blues really need is another Benji Marshall...

Ahem, that would be switching to rugby. NZR didn't promise an AB spot to SBW and he needed to prove himself first at NPC/Super rugby level. The same for RTS.

TJ Perenara has re-signed with NZR and the Hurricanes for four more years (end of 2021 season)!
