@kirwan I doubt it. Winnie won't want that. NZF would be annihilated and it's all about his legacy now.
It's why if I was English I would have offered not to stand a candidate in any electorate Winnie names in 2020 thus ensuring NZF survived Peters departure (to NZHC to London if I'd been negotiating)

English is a 2-time loser now so he is tainted.
Harsh. National's election night result was an astounding achievement.
This is why Key retired
He's a trader, he took his profits and sold short, just right as it turned out

It’s days like these when a certain ex-pat smugness takes hold.
National has to find a new centre ally. They should just start an environment part themselves.
As for the greens, ha ha ha. Confidence and supply and that’s it. I suppose a rock is more comfortable than a hard place.
-
@billy-tell I agree. National need to foster a middle Green Party because ACT are a dead end

It's almost amusing reading the comments on Labour-supporter Facebook posts, these people are acting like it's the second coming of Jesus. One even wrote about 'making NZ great again'.
I hope Ardern realises that some of these people are more than bit blinded about what they think she is going to achieve with a wave of her sparkle wand. And that they could turn more than a bit feral when cold reality sets in (ie budget and taxes and exactly how much she conceded to Peters...)

nah, they won't turn on her - they have nowhere to turn - except the greens, and that doesn't really matter.
we don't actually know what winston has got yet do we? i thought he'd go national due to hating the greens and the nats having more votes - but he always had more common ground with labour policy-wise i reckon.

New Zealand is about to learn a valuable lesson in economics. Pity, because it's lead the world in a number of areas for quite some time.
you are including the clark/cullen labour government in that i assume?
polly's always take way too much credit for the economy. the aussies were falling over themselves congratulating each other when mining was going gangbusters, which genuinely had fuck all to do with them. so too our dairy. -

Comedy. Going to love the over reaction that is about to come and yet fuck all will truly change in most people’s lives. Give or take a few dollars here and there
Fucken word to this post Hooroo. One would be mistaken for thinking we'd been living under a military dictatorship for the last 9 years. Christ some left wing fairies need to seriously have some perspective in life.
-
Interesting in Peters' speech how he is confidently predicting an economic shock within three years - whether this is a global shock, or just a NZ shock after a tidal wave of left wing social spending and economic intervention, we'll soon find out - and NZers need a strong hand on the rudder, and this was a major factor in choosing...Labour. Grant Robertson is an economic retard.
A big rant against the "neo-liberal experiment" too. He wants to take us back to the Muldoon years.

so right now, the Greens are deciding if they accept Whinny's terms? hahahaha

is amusing how all the headlines say Winston has picked Labour, which is wrong, he picked Labour and Greens.
