Ref isn't even interested in that aerial challenge?

@tim He isn't interested in players being offside either. Both teams guilty.

Really not impressed by Canterbury a few players notwithstanding. Same for Auckland but that goes without saying.

That blue 21 was palpably offside when he joined that last ruck that almost led to a Ravouvou try. Fortunately Mr. Pickerill managed to blow for a knock on to stop that happening.

@kiwimurph Apart from having a new coach, who's already leaving after one season, Canterbury is missing a lot of players they had last year. Several left or are with the ABs. Even Canterbury will be affected by such changes.

Fucking beautiful try. Superb pass from Faiane, and he finishes it off too.

Well, we did Auckland a favour two weeks ago by not fronting up at Eden Park. Looks like we have to do you another one tomorrow...!

Really glad to Faiane finished the season strongly. Looking forward to him in Super Rugby next year.

@tim That was the best game he has played all year. Having a decent 10 didnt hurt.

Funny how it takes til the final 20 minutes of the season for Auckland to have a halfback- first five combo with some ability.

Sucks for Akira that last play - he had a good game - thought he outplayed Whitelock.

@kiwimurph Hahaha very true about our 9-10 combo. Hope to see these two get more gametime next season whatever division we're in.

I also thought Ben Nee-Nee improved as the season went on. One of our best against Ta$man. Not sure he's up to Super Rugby though.

With a solid tight five (Scrafton and Fatialofa will certainly help), a good nine-ten combo (Costa/Plummer looked pretty good), and good coaches and conditioning we should be vastly better next year.

Costa looked great in his cameo.. he knows how the clear the ball from the 22 and feisty at the breakdown..

Plummer sent a few hospitals tonight though.. especially with how "flat" the defensive line was
But he's definitely the best 10 we've had since Anscombe

    Damned with faint praise....

Didn't see the whole game and can't make time to follow much M10C. Only warch it when it's on and I'm otherwise idle and tele unoccupied but:

    1. Plummer. First I've seen him. How old? Looked like he had a little something for future reference.
    2. Nanai. Couple of questions re his form in the EOYT thread. Looked sharp to me. Surely he is the next cab off the rank for the outside backs.
    3. Good to see an Eden player there 🙂

@booboo Plummer is 19, and yes, that's 2 Eden players in 2 years that have represented Auckland.
