Crazy results this week. My fantasy teams will suffer.

That Falcons/Lions game ended with controversy too. Both teams were undefeated heading into the game and the Lions came up a yard short of a game winning TD with seconds remaining. And with no TOs and less than 10 seconds remaining the runoff rule kicked in.

Tough loss for the Lions against a quality team like the Falcons.

Rams looking like real contenders after a win over the Cowboys.
Panthers also toppled the Patriots. Patriots defence is rubbish. Brady struggling to carry them.
Bills with another good win, this time over the Falcons. Looks like the Bills could end the Patriots reign in their division.
Jets also with an upset. I thought the Jets would be lucky to finish with 0 wins this season. They are on a streak.

The LA Rams are looking the goods right now which is good for the fickle LA market. Jared Goff isn't going to be a bust, in fact he resembles a new Alex Smith, which isn't a bad thing at all, and Todd Gurley has decided that he's actually going to play.
LA Chargers on the other hand are struggling and talk is that they may head back to San Diego.

San Francisco 49ers nearly beat the Cardinals today....but lost in OT....

Is this the end of Big Ben?
Good to see some teams stepping up, might see some new faces in the top 6 rather than the regulars..

Vinateri still clutch, sends the 9ers to 0 and 5.

I think it will revert back to the norm soon. A lot of the challengers are suffering a number of significant injuries.

49ers lost a close one. Again. Now 0-5.

    Shanahan's tankapalooza strategy working perfectly

@canefan It's us versus the NY Giants. Who's the number one QB in the 2018 draft? Jay Rosen?

@sneakdefreak Josh Rosen UCLA and Sam Darnold USC depending on who enters the draft/stays in school. Those in the know reckon Rosen is a perfect fit for Shanahan's offense as a traditional QB ala Matt Ryan whereas Darnold is more or a gunslinger type.

If the giants are near the top of the draft then I think they're much more likely to declare than when it was looking like being the jets and the Browns at 1 and 2.

All the prospects have been struggling though so the tanking teams are probably a little worried at the moment. Could put a lot of heat into the veteran market - Brees and Cousins both free agents and Chiefs might look to trade Smith if they really like Mahomes.

@cyclops Kirk Cousins will sign with San Francisco if the 49ers think the QB draft class isn't impressive. Drew Brees will probably stay in New Orleans although a team like Minnesota would be attractive in 2018.
Alex Smith to Arizona or Minnesota would fit him. He just needs a team with a running game and defence.

Minnesota will be looking for a QB in 2018 because Sam Bradford sucks right now.

Some big NFL news in past couple of days:

    • Adrian Petersen is traded from New Orleans to Arizona. Arizona currently has the worst running game in the league.
    • Ezekiel Elliott is suspended for six games after a court allowed the NFL to follow through with the suspension.
    • The 49ers have released linebacker Navorro Bowman after eight years with the team. Bowman was one of the best defenders on the 49ers squad but had lost gametime to younger players.

Aaron Rodgers is done for the season with broken collarbone. All my fantasy football teams have just ended their season.

Another close loss for the 49ers but some very good signs from their rookies - they finally bit the bullet and put in their rookie QB Beathard when they were down 17 - 0 and he played well in his first NFL action - nearly bringing the 49ers back to victory. Beathard is now the starter so has a 10 game audition to see if he is the QB of the future for the Niners.

Also Solomon Thomas had a breakout game today. 9 tackles (2 for a loss) and a sack.

@kiwimurph Bout time they went to Beathard, Hoyer was struggling. They won't finish 0-16 but will be lucky to make it 2-14.

All these honourable draws are great. The young guys get slowly better and we finish in bottom spot!!
