Body scans
-
Saw a doco on a guy who decided to enter Mr Western Australia and was getting regular body scans at a specialist centre to monitor his body fat percentage. Looked sort of like an MRI but different scan type. Gave results of fat, muscle, bone etc I've also heard they can pick up abnormalities you may not even be aware of.

Anyone here done one? I want to see what my bfp is so I can go back in a few months and check it again.
-

I'll ask my wife again this, as this is in her wheelhouse, but I vaguely remembering her thinking it was a waste of time and money. Something along the lines of these sorts of scans are diagnostic tools looking for reasons for symptoms in a specific area, and when you do a general scan pretty much everybody has something weird turn up. Hardly any of them cause any trouble or are something to worry about.
As for checking what your body fat percentage is, you can see what you need in a mirror or with photos. Unless you are are going into bodybuilding or elite sport, you just don't need to do it. It's just a distraction IMO. -

guide only, depends on your water etc too, they are not the best that is for sure. But so long as weigh in day is always the same, and the day previous and the day of weigh in the food intake / exercise the same, you should get a rough guide. They sure do suck though when they go up as opposed to down!
