Fantastic gutsy tackle against that giant. Just a shame not all our players can pull of impossible tackles like that one.

Just done a stocktake and it looks like we have nine players that have starting Super Rugby experience and a couple of others on the fringe of that in our run on fifteen tonight, five of them forwards in case anyone was wondering.

We need to win a penalty here for a yellow card

HB 10 - 14 Taranaki as half time is reached

I agree, the referee put them on notice after about three or four minutes that they were on a final warning. Despite the try being scored they were still palpably offside so should have been award a yellow card as well.

Almost Wayne Barnesish in fact. Come to think of it, it would not look out of place on a French rugby field.

Vaega tackles on the wing like he does at centre

Yeah he does aye, at least it cuts down on the cost of having to wash any dirt out of his uniform after the game.

Bloody hell I felt the shock waves of that collision from the dive for that try down here in Wellington. Wonder what it will measure on the Richter Scale.

Surely Emmerson was tackled in the air when he caught that ball, a clear penalty after the precedent set by that frog whistleblower in the second test.

I feel like making McDermott swallowing that whistle. Some very questionable refereeing that cost us. We should at least have got a bonus point from this game. Much better effort from the team, but got nothing to show for it.

Anyone else think that particularly Lamborn is worse than previous years?

Cridge, Lowe and West were my (positive) standouts. Bucky and Weber not bad, either. Emerson deserves a mention for some brave tackling. A lot more heart in this game. When's McNicol back? Cardiff Vaega should never start again.

Did they say anything about Falcon and concussion; I got slightly confused by the commentators.
