Fatbusting: Kirwan's log

Am run down, that's all. Add in a stressful time at work and you get ill very easily.<br />

<br />
Yeah, I was musing with a colleague about this yesterday. We have 10 years experience between us, and about a handful of days off sick. The trouble is that litigators are most likely to get sick at the pointy end of cases-- due obviously to stress-- which is precisely when it is impossible to take time off. So you battle through... -

The advantage of being a nerd, I can essentially work from home.<br />
<br />
First kg is off. -
Have now lost 2kgs, maintaining the 1kg a week rate so far. My belt has gone in one notch and is feeling loose, so heading towards the next one.<br />
<br />
Have definitely gained some muscle in there, so that makes me happier with the weight loss.<br />
<br />
Hit a wall yesterday, energy levels were terrible and the gym was a slow, long slog. Still feel crap today.<br />
<br />
Going to do another cardio session today, and squash with Hooroo tomorrow then I might take two days off. After tonight it will be 7 hour cardios in 8 days. -

I think that's the Forum's first officially notified belt notch! Well done sir! -
Yeah you gotta recalibrate your goal now - its all relative to the set of scales you're using. Ours weight a bit on the heavy side compared to the electronic whizz-bang jobs at Mrs the Aussie's work (and its a hospital so you'd think it was pretty accurate) so while I'm 117 at home I might be 115 <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /> Maybe?
-
I gained half a kilogram when I moved my scales from the living room to the bathroom. They were quickly moved back on the grounds of space management.

Thou art as wise as thou art rotund :happy:

The only thing MvJ has just cracked open is a blackcurrant and apple tea-bag and it is fucking disgusting.<br />
<br />
As for the smiley, I am a Moderator posting on a fellow Moderator's thread. MvJ is obliged to be gregarious, charming and otherwise on his best behaviour. -
Righto, I put the two scales next to each other and confirmed I have lost 2kg on the orginal scales. Adding the 2 kgs to new weight on the new scales makes it 85kg (the heaviest I've been ever) and I've kept the target the same. Nice round figure of 10kgs to lose, 8kg to go.<br />
<br />
Was very demotivated last night, still got the hour cardio in and the diet has been very good. -
Righto, discovered the level of my will power. Sitting in a pub for two hours is all I can take before I need a drink.<br />
<br />
Chose a ladies drink if Gin and Tonic and had three of those, and then some chips, and a burger. Fark it.<br />
<br />
So I lastest 13 days off the alcohol and 9 days off the junk food. Was a small overstep though, so am going to follow Bartman's advice and add in a cheat day once per week. -
Kirwan, did you feel the alcohol much more than usual? I'm not going cold turkey but have cut back to the medically recommended weekly level (about 1/4 of normal) and after only 3 weeks notice the effects of 3 drinks. Normally they wouldn't even wet the whistle.<br />
<br />
Had hoped that cutting back on the alcohol would mean an easy weight loss but doesn't seem to have happened. -
Not after three small drinks and a meal.<br />
<br />
My wife hasn't been drinking much for a few months and two glasses of wine knocked her for six. <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /> -

<br />
In a story I will post somewhere else in detail, MvJ was practically evicted from a party last night due to intoxication. I had consumed about six drinks. And I had four on Thursday (two of which were beer) and was off my fucking tits. <br />
<br />
Anyway, it was a bit of a wakeup call so Kirwan the challenge is on! MvJ is giving up the grog and will see your 13 days and raise you some. If you thought last's night's game was a beating, it will be nothing compared to what is going to occur<br />
<br />
Trading in Banrock Station shares has been suspended... -
You won't last 5 days <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />
-
It's been 10 hours and already I feel like shit <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /> <br />
<br />
I did manage last Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday without any grog though. However come the end of the week I may have to ask to be banned from the Sports Forum as a sort of preemptive strike...
