We don't have a good record with English players, right from the first team. Graham is NRL tested with a big motor though. If it happens we should pair him with another strong player as we did with Wiki and Price
-
I don't want Graham on our team after he carried on like a goose last year (or year before) contributing to the refs getting abused when as captain his job should have been to rein things in.
Although, he does come across as a decent bloke on whichever of the million NRL shows they have on Fox these days.

I think there lies the problem , they arrive with the attitude of helping to turn the football around and not just the money,
And I reckon Hoffman would have wanted that , but subconsciously he would also be thinking it's his super payout at the end of his career , and that was the real motivation for the change in clubs
-
Ethan Lowe looks like dodgiest meth dealer in the world, not a starting NRL player.
If he sold you drugs, you would be suss on them as fuck.
Sketchy.
-
Warriors suck ball bags.
Just flicked over from the young fellas cartoons, so the last 3 minutes of the first half is the first time I've bothered watching them in maybe 6 or 8 weeks.
Getting beat 16-4 at halftime by the shittiest cellar dwelling NRL team of all time. Well that I can remember anyway.
Tempted to go back to Disney channel but will leave it for now to see what happens in the second half.
I'll probably regret that decision.
-
Seriously, the Warriors are a poor imitation of a competent football team. Right now the bottom side are touching them up.
No power or physicality up front. No creation or zip in the ruck or the halves. No penetration out wide, and not organised enough to get the ball to dangerous areas. And penalty after penalty after penalty. There is no hope in this team, no sparks to give the fans something to hang on.
And there is no urgency, they are on holiday already.
Fuck them, dock their pay.
-
Isaac Luke is fucking hopeless
-
Nothing sums up the Warriors forward pack like a back rower picking out a halfback, galloping straight at him, and losing the collision, ending up on his ass.
And there is the nail. Newcastle are bottom but can be prouder of their season than these useless fucks from Mt Smart. They play with a heap of heart, try their hearts out, and are showing signs of improvement. Well done Knights and Nathan Brown.

No need for any thoughts about this team. This is merely confirmation that we need a major clean out of everything in the club. Free up as much salary cap as possible and just start from scratch.
And don't sign Adam Blair. Only develop Kiwi players. Sign Aussie outcasts instead to fill out the roster. That's the better way,
-
Listening to the press conference it sounds like Kearney is going to be pushing a lot of players out of the door. Hope he follows through.
Most teams have 25 NRL contracts (and a bunch of NSW/QLD Cup contracts) so:
You can stay:
Simon Mannering, Shaun Johnson, James Gavet, Roger Tuivasa SheckYou can probably stay:
Blake Ayshford, David Fusitua, Ken Maumalo, Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad, Nathan Roache, Sam LisoneYou can probably bugger off:
Bunty Afoa, Ryan Hoffman, Jacob Lillyman, Ata Hingano, Ligi SaoYou can fuck off right now:
Isaac Luke, Solomona Kata, Albert Vete, Charlie Gubb, Bodene Thompson, Mason LinoAlready fucked off to another club:
Erin Clark (Canberra Raiders), Bureta Faraimo (Hull FC), Kieran Foran (Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs), Tuimoala Lolohea (Wests Tigers), Ben Matulino (Wests Tigers), Toafofoa Sipley (Manly Sea Eagles), Manu Vatuvei (Salford Red Devils). So looking at that we really only have 10 players on NRL contracts who should stay and are adding two players in 2018 in Tohu Harris and Leivaha Pulu. With 11 teams currently reported to be over the cap for 2018, the Warriors can still add up to 10 players (if they offload a bunch of guys in the process).

If we adopt the model of our last championship caliber team, we should get two forwards with enough in the tank to lead the rest aka Price and Wiki, a veteran midfielder to sort out shit in the backline aka Tate, and fill the remaining roster by dipping into the local youth pool and Aussie cast offs aka Webb, Henderson, Luck and Gattis.

Maumalo can fuck off. So can Shaun Johnson

Johnson can be great, but he is more Robin than Batman. We'll never know now Foran is leaving but when they played together he seemed to look very good in a way he hasn't consistently since James Maloney left
-
Johnson reminds me a lot of Benji Marshall and Carlos Spencer, and the poor man's Spencer, Quade Cooper. They can all do wonderful things on the footy field and instead of letting them be themselves we seem to want to turn them into something they are not - structured players who can control a game. I reckon it then leads to an identity crisis. They then start second guessing themselves. We need to accept them for the players they are and encourage them to do what they do best.
Marshall was at his best when he had a Prince type player around him, one that can do all the controlling and allowing him to play what he sees. They then tried to turn Marshall into the controlling type player. His confidence suffered and not only did he end up not being able to 'run' a game he lost the ability to do the things that made him such a talent in the first place.
Johnson is the same and it is a shame, as canfan said above, that we won't get to see him build a playing relationship with Foran. If Johnson and the Warriors aren't careful he will fizzle out like Marshall.
-
James Maloney is available to sign in the offseason but more likely he stays in Sydney. Trent Hodkinson would be a decent pick up and could play the 'game manager' to Shaun Johnson's adlib style which the Warriors attack desperately needs.
One cheap target could be former Roosters halfback Jackson Hastings, who can't get into the Manly line up right now. He played well for Sydney City (before pissing off Mitchell Pearce which makes me like him more). -

Fixed it.

You don't rate Hingano sneak? I haven't seen enough of him to form my own opinion, but from what I have read a few see him as good prospect.
