@Nepia If it was about liking players or not, my preferred (Maori) ABs squads would look different, too.
By can't stand him I mean I think he's an average to poor player.

TKB should start with Hall on the bench, definitely not TTT.
Yeah, that's just my personal preference ;), I can't stand Hall - it's a pity Weber is injured for the season.
About Weber. I expect him to have a very good chance to become the third halfback after TKB's move to Europe. Some people have been talking up Pulu (esp in media), but Weber is so much better and faster. I have no idea how many halfbacks they are going to take on the EOYT, but I really hope he'll have a good Mitre 10 Cup season (also for other obvious reasons) to earn the 3rd halfback spot.

@Nepia He has improved significantly since his move south.
Haha. I'd take your word for it but considering your love of any thing in the red n black ....
-
@Stargazer said in Māori All Blacks vs British and Irish Lions:
@Nepia Hmmm, yeah, Weber's jersey has red and black in it, too.
So does Pulu's

@Crucial Looks Blue only to me. If I was talking about Mitre 10 Cup jerseys, I definitely wouldn't have described Weber's jersey as containing red and black.
Apparently it is offensive to call people Captain Obvious so I won't

Hope you didn't take that as smart arse. I was just taking the piss with @Nepia and his love of Hungus Pulu. It was obvious you were talking about a Super rugby jersey but that didn't fit my narrative.
If it came across as ridiculing you, I apologise. -
@Crucial I have mild dyslexia and am not always good at distinguishing between things that are written and things that are intended (esp. jokes, insults and the likes). If you talk to someone, you can hear someone's voice and see facial expressions, which makes things much easier. So if you respond to a comment made by me, but intend to take the piss with someone else, there's a good chance I'll miss that.

No probs. We all read things the way we think and get the intentions wrong at times. Just wanted to assure you there was no insult intended.

Did Guyton play better for the Blues last year than Hall? I thought both were fairly average so l just wondering why Guyton was chosen for the Maori tour ahead of Hall?
Perhaps Bryn discovered he was a Maori.
Both were pretty poor

The most interesting selection for me is 10 for the Maoris. The conservative option is Black. The foolhardy option is West. The guns blazing option is DMac.
Would like to see an all out "attack mode" backline with
- TTT
- DMac
- Lowe
- Ngatai
- Proctor
- Ioane
- NMS
-
@Billy-Tell I thought that NMS looked underdone against the Chiefs. Lowe ran around him a few times with ease. That said, I think they will still select him to start.
TKB will start at halfback.
