Great to see LA come up with a big game, away from home, best player out and he goes for a big double double. He's been criticised of having a bit of a soft underbelly when the pressure hits the fan, but he was huge today.

Rockets really missed Nene. A hardened vet who when they play their small ball is a genuine scoring threat, excellent defender and genuine tough guy.

Harden had a shocker. Spurs did a great job and didn't give away any cheap fouls that he often draws. Like Baron I'm not a fan either when he does all that crap. He's excellent when just going to the basket but all that holding the ball up high and drawing ridiculous fouls that are bail outs for plainly bad offence.

Mike D'Antoni has had a frustrating year and that frustration shows during games.

I'm sick of Mark Jackson commentating as well. But Unlike rugby where I just mute, I'm a big fan of Van Gundy commentating. It would be great if we had Van Gundy Breen and Reggie Miller for the Warriors and Spurs series.

@Baron-Silas-Greenback Manu is in his head!

Made the MVP narrative change as well.. SPurs winning without Kawhai, Harden folding.. and Westbrook rolled in first round.

MVP award is a regular season award only, playoffs have no bearing, but yes perhaps what it does is highlight the lack of importance of the award, or at least how they seem to judge it by giving it to the biggest regular season stat monster.

I'd much rather be finals MVP

Game 4 is the only time that the Rockets have beaten the Spurs at home this season.

The Spurs under Pop have always been about the team rather than individuals, even if they are named Leonard and Parker.

Future NBA Champs, Boston Celtics, have won the NBA lottery draft. LA Lakers have the second pick.

No Leonard today, so this game is pretty much over already.

Looks like LA will probably take Lonzo Ball (I can't see Boston taking him, Thomas is their PG so the kid from Washington is a SG and makes more sense), I don't know if Russell will be shipped on or if he can play as a shooting guard instead, or some sort of hybrid backcourt like GS

If the Lakers take Lonzo it will come with some requirements that Lavar shuts the fuck up.

Fultz is a gun. He has a massive wingspan for a guard and a NBA ready offensive game. Doesn't have the vision that Ball has but a decent passer in his own right.

I reckon the 76ers could do with Ball.

and today Lavar has got into an on-air spat with the co-host on Colin Cowherd's show. I don't see him going away anytime soon.

He is a proponent of the all is news is good news theory. I watched a segment with Ramona Shelbourne on the Jump ESPN talking about her experience interviewing him. There is method to the madness, and if Lonzo and any of the other boys become all stars he may be looked back upon like a Richard Williams type figure

    All hail the King.....

Lebron's unreal playoff performance run continues. Even though Celtics are the best finishing team, the game was over by halftime.

The whole season was a waste of time. Should have just had the two super teams play a best of 11 at the start of the season and be done with it

If you were an Eastern Conference team, you'd surely be tempted to go the full Hinkie and build for a potential big season in 2019-2020.

Because with Lebron the way he is, you just aren't getting past Cleveland any time soon.

At least in the West you feel like the Warriors dynasty might be toppled if one player left/got injured.

@barbarian Agreed. There's talk Celtics should trade the number 1 pick for a contributor right now. An argument could be made it is better to take the best college player and wait 5 years for him to develop because no one is stopping LeBron in the east any time soon.

Its not just LBJ, the supporting cast is fucking good as well. Add them to one of the greatest players of all time seemingly still at his peak and the rest of the east is fucked. And maybe the Warriors as well.
