McCaffrey at 8 to the Panthers.
He made a huge rise up the boards after that great combine.
Cam Newton needed another weapon and McCaffrey can play at RB and WR.
He was so smooth in those receiver drills at the combine. Looked like OBJ in those drills.
You basically get a RB, slot receiver and a return ace with him.
-
@Sneakdefreak shit, i wanted him at the Broncos
We are desperate at RB (and the entire o-line to be fair. oh, and Qtrback. fuck)
-
Chiefs traded up to take Patrick Mahomes. He looks like a straight up project to me, but he does have ridiculous arm talent.
Many will be surprised that Watson is still on the board after two QBs have been taken. Watson really got cut up by the draft process.
-
Winner so far is the Saints. Get the best CB in the draft at 11 due to other teams picking offence first. Now they don't need Malcolm Butler.
-
Houston takes DeShaun Watson.
-
@Sneakdefreak if you were covered at QB for a year or so, i would have taken Watson. He looks good, but not straight away.

This RB draft is deep - there can be value had all the way through.
O Line this draft is weak, same as QB.
-
@KiwiMurph Next pick for the 49ers will be a DB, followed by a RB imo.
-
Holy crap - the 49ers trade up to the back end of the first round and select Reuben Foster - who was a top 10 talent who dropped due to a shoulder issue and some off field stuff.
The trade up basically cost the 49ers nothing cos they used the extra pick they got for the trade down with Thomas.
49ers nail it again. Wow what a night they've had.

Bucs are winners as well.. They picked up a great TE.. i was expecting the Titans to pick him up.. load Mariota with weapons

49ers have to be in the conversation as winners. Their haul tonight is Solomon Thomas, Reuben Foster and 2 future mid round picks.
For swindling the Bears alone, they're winners. Chicago is now paying starter money to two QBs and no one knows if either are legit starters.

The Browns had a pretty good day. They got Garrett, Peppers and Njoku and picked up another 1st round pick for next year.
Yeah but they're the Browns. They'll fuck it up.
I agree. If it wasn't the Browns, that'd be a helluva haul.
All jokes aside, I like how they're doing things right now. They know they're not good enough yet, so they're just accumulating picks. It's a smart way to rebuild a team with lots of holes.

It's also a smart way to accumulate enough draft capital to trade for a Jimmy G, Cousins or up in the draft for a first round QB next year (which is supposedly much stronger at the QB position than this year's draft).

They will likely get a high pick next year too, so if they're lucky, they might not need to trade up to draft their favorite QB. They're smart not reaching for a QB this year, even though it's a glaring need, but the value just isn't there. With their analytical approach now, they're going to go for guys who match or exceed the value of the pick.
