Why go back to halfway? Chiefs must have known it wasn't a try. Seems like a waste of energy.

have you heard Matt Hodsgon talk? He sounds like Forrest Gump's retarded Australian brother.

That was shit and we were shit. One of those "take the 4 points and get yourself home" games.

Ugly win, but to be expected. Important to win these ugly ones.

I'll take that. Positives = Bagged the 4 points, kept the Farce from getting a losers BP and held them scoreless after halftime - TKB aside, no other injuries to speak of. Nine points from a possible 15 on offer from the overseas leg. Now, let's get the fuck out of town and leave these spoilers to implode.

I was getting updates from a mate last night but I had recorded the game.

After his commentary I watched the first 10 mins tonight, then the last 5 mins and deleted.

Jonathan Taumateine might be involved against the Sunwolves either way.

I vaguely recall seeing something at a ruck when Christie first came on. Assumed he was clearing a ball out legally as it was in front of the ref.
TKB a big loss but JT will cover fine against the Sunpuppies.

@Crucial Yeah, Christie has been cited for stamping....http://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/rugby/super-rugby/91832650/chiefs-halfback-among-three-players-cited-in-round-nine-of-super-rugby in yet another brilliant move by SANZAAR

That is very soft. Barely does anything.
I assume they think that contact is foot to head, hence the citing.
Looks like he tried to legally clear the ball then saw he couldn't. Contact accidental on a player that was illegally there.

Regarding Messam, I have never considered him more than a mid level AB, not that that isn't praise in itself. Suffered greatly by comparison with Kaino. That said, on at least two occasions, which if memory serves me correctly were when JK was in Japan (and one or both of which were against the Bokke) he was absolutely outstanding. Interesting because I should have thought the physicality of the Bok game would have exposed him. Can vividly remember one try saving maul sack. A deserved All Black but a Chiefs team man legend.

@Frye said in Super Rugby News:

    Four weeks is my guess.

Yep, fair enough now I see that other angle. Ball was no where near and tapping a player on the head to tell him to let the ball go is a pretty dumb thing to do.
