Damn, I stopped watching the Tahs game midway through because I was sick of the commentators bleating on about how the Kings weren't really up to Super level .... Gibson can't last much longer can he?
Not that I'm in the mood to defend Gibson, but surely he doesn't need to coach this collection of arsehats to hold onto the ball?

Only saw the highlights package but no yellow card for Hooper at that penalty try?
Rohan Hoffmann
Possibly the most biased ref in the competition (since Stuart Berry was dropped).
He's not biased, just woefully inept.

Reece Hodge kicks a penalty at the end of the match to snatch a 9-9 draw against the Sharks in a thriller.
-
Bulls sneak past the Cheetahs 20-14.

@African-Monkey are you shitting me? there were 2 red cards and at one stage I thought we were playing league

@African-Monkey Yeah it was bloody awful. Skill level was dire. But the laws the way they stand are a real blight on our game currently. I believe it is a big part of what is turning people off.

@Crash yep and nz cannot get more than 1 home quarterfinal regardless of how well the nz teams do. This is the current conference system (was the same last year).
And if all teams had the same number of points next year, it'd look something like this:
Crusaders vs Highlanders
Lions vs Sharks
Brumbies vs Stormers
Hurricanes vs ChiefsSo SA lose one of their quarter finals to the first "wildcard" and that's it. Tiny bit better but still a joke. I can't stand this half assed conference system, I wouldn't trust SANZAAR to come up with a rippa rugby comp, let alone Super Rugby.

This just highlights how much of a farce the current system is.
The Brumbies and Blues on the same points, yet Brumbies currently in fourth, qualify for a home final, while the Blues languish in 10th...
Not to mention the Blues have had to play 5 games v nz opposition up til now as opposed to the Brumbies playing 3. I guess we'll find out on Sunday when both teams go at it.
