@Snowy Or you could look at it another way. If a team beats NZ they are a very good chance of winning the tournament, because we ain't winning it. 😞

    That's straws 🤔

If a team beats Saffers or Fiji they're a pretty good chance, but ONLY if its in the knockout 🙂 Our blokes knocked off Argies, Samoa, Kenya, Saffers, picked up two key injuries, and got annihilated by the USA. Man I could watch Baker run all day.

@Snowy Straws. They barely look coached.

Who? The AB7's or the ice-hockey players?

I heard Whiria Meltzer has been called into 7s squad, but cant see anything online

Meltzer trialled for Titch a few seasons ago, played a bit for Northland and North Harbour.

Geez, that was so good! Japan may be a weak opponent, but the combinations in this Black Ferns team are really great.

Strong girl, Rebekah Cordero-Tufuga. 3 Japanese players couldn't stop her.

Black Ferns 7s beat Japan 31 to 0.

It will be interesting to see how they go against stronger opponents like Russia and France. Allan Bunting has brought in quite a few new players in this Black Ferns team this year and very young ones, too, but I haven't noticed any drop in performance.

The All Blacks 7s should take the NZ women as an example. So much more determination; tackle after tackle after tackle, not letting the opposition get away. Also on attack this team is far more creative and makes far less handling errors. Generally, this team gels so much better. Can't just be a matter of coaching; the players are better, too.

Yusss, Nathan-Wong saves the game! Another win, but those Frenchies were strong! Full time: 19-14 to the BFs

Didn't watch the game, but the Black Ferns 7s also won their 3rd pool game: 22-7 against Russia.
They'll play England in the Cup Quarter Finals at 2.36pm tomorrow (NZT).

Couldn't watch the games, but the Black Ferns 7s have won their QF against England 21-5 and their SF against Fiji 21-0.

They will play Canada in the Cup Final at 8.07pm.

Btw, the Aussie women lost to Canada in the semis, so will play Fiji for 3rd place.

7 all at half time. Don't think the Canadian try was properly grounded, but it was given. Williams' try was awesome.
