NRL 2017

The young Kiwi fullback for the Doggies (Brad Abbey) is out of his depth in the NRL.....
Kieran Foran starting against the Dragons tomorrow. Also James Gavet is in the side.
-
Hasler is the next neck on the chopping block. Tigers will want to appoint a coach before there is competition in the marketplace
-
@mariner4life The Bulldogs would want Cleary whereas the Tigers might be better off with Hasler or Toovey.
-
Seriously Klemmer....slapping someone? Fucking weak....
-
Foran may have done his hammy in the warm up
-
How can a professional sports team get the basics of the game so fucking wrong so fucking often?
Oh fucking hell, as I type another shocking error in front of their own posts, looking like another 4 points to the Dragons.
Go get fucked Warriors, I've wasted enough of my Sunday evening on you already, I'm out.
-
The game becomes so much easier if you complete your sets

A lot of swearing on the North Shore tonight. Not that my neighbours mind as none speak any English since the North Shore was sold to the CCP. FML.
Thoughts:
- Forget the Dragons, this game was all about the poor attitude and approach by the Warriors. In all four rounds, the forwards have looked meek and timid, while the backs looked disjointed.
- The set up is all wrong. Mick Ennis in commentary got it right when he said that this team needs momentum coming from the ruck area, and not waiting for Shaun Johnson to create momentum.
- To get momentum you need forwards to do what their title suggests. Forward means forward and not backwards, sideways or standing still. At times it seemed only Lillyman and Gavet were trying to gain momentum.
- Gavet showed why he should have been in this team to start the season. 130 metres off the bench. He actually makes an impact unlike Charlie Gubb.
- I said in my preview that Gubb offers nothing and he did that tonight. Made less than 50 metres on the ground.
- I'll say this too. Get rid of Gubb and the forward pack will improve dramatically.
- But Luke needs to do more dummyhalf running as well. When he did the Dragons went backwards. To be even more effective, we need another dummyhalf runner coming off the bench, Tevaga or Roache.
- Hoffman and Thompson haven't played great, but I do think they are trying too much to make up for the lack of intensity from others.
- Shame about Foran and now creeping into my head is this notion that he might not play at all this season.
- Lolohea was valiant in the halves but he is too similar a player to Johnson.
- Move Hingano or Roache into halfback and Johnson into stand off. Hingano/Roache just need to play a simple game ala Nathan Fien back in 2008, and allow Johnson to work off the momentum.
- Next up is the Titans and while Kata will want to face off against Hurrell, it might be time for a short stint in NSW Cup.
- Maumalo can also head down to NSW Cup. He has the size but I don't think he'll be Vatuvei 2.0 or another Fusitua.
- Chanze Nicoll-Klokstad deserves a crack in the NRL and starting on the wing, with Fusitua and Ayshford in the centres, should be the go next week.
- It dawned on me during the game but Blake Ayshford played in the NSW Cup on Saturday and in tonight's game. I wonder if that is allowed?

Nice write up sneak.
I see the Kata bubble has bursted ... I'm sure I may have suggested this might happen.
I actually thought Hoffman ran pretty well tonight but showed Warriors level off the ball rather than Storm level off the ball.
Our pack is a bit powder puff really - yet the TV dudes over here always go on about how strong they are, it's bemusing.
Hopefully Foran actually makes the field for the Warriors - in the interview they were playing while he was warming up he was talking about how he was a big Warriors and Stacey Jones fan as a kid - so some game time would be nice.

"I see the Kata bubble has bursted ... I'm sure I may have suggested this might happen."
Think it has more to do with his lack of trust in Maumalo and I don't blame him. Maumalo seems lost at times out there....

I don't know what his inability to catch a ball, hold on to a ball has to do with Maumalo ....

It shows their lack of analysis of the current side , and are just using the stereotypical view of the warriors over here ( all brawn no brains)

Before I got the shits with the useless fluffybunnies and stopped watching, I heard the comms say that this is Lillymans 9th season at the Warriors. Didn't realise he'd been here for so long, I thought it would have been about 5 or 6.
As for the Warriors, burn the place down and start from scratch somewhere else.
Kaikohe might be a good option, could start by filling the team with their hood rats, they've got more mongrel than this team. -

In general the league analysis is usually pretty good. Much better than what Sky serves up for the rugby. And the odd commentator will mention it's a myth but then it will get forgotten by the co-commentator or panel.
