This is the sort of pitch for India to beat Aus.
Rather the great leveller of a dust bowl.
Which is a shame, as the traditional India pitches like this bore the hell out of me.
Love the dust bowls.
Sucks to have to wait 4 days before it becomes watchable.

Virat needs much better sledges. This was really weak and in the realms of 'I know you are, I said you are, but what am I?'

This has been another pretty good test. And it's still in the balance.
Marsh and Handscomb have both stepped up at the right time. Batted really well. Still a session to go and our tail has been very weak so India still have a real chance.
But the runs are the key. If we can sneak a lead of 30-40 then time becomes a massive factor.

This is a bloody great series. Best since the 2005 Ashes I reckon. Another amazing finish, so much ticker from Marsh and Handscomb in the face of enormous pressure.
I don't buy its a great series, I mean the 2 first innings here were ground out 1,200 runs. 1st test India barely made 100 each inings, 2nd test Aussie barely make 100 in the 4th. Thats not great series cricket.
The Aussie-India series are usually classics, this would be one of the worst in the last 5 or 6

@gollum Is that a serious post?
So in this test there were too many runs, but in the first two there weren't enough?
I'm normally pretty tolerant of other opinions but seriously that is ridiculous. We've had three very different matches and now have a series decider.

Exactly, a great series is not over as a contest by day 3 of every test. We've had 3 tests, 2 of which were flat out over by the end of day 3 as a contest & with 3 innings below 130 & another below 200. For me a great series is you go into the last day withy any of the 3 results open, ideally 400 v 400, 300 v 250. Not 600 v 450 or 100 v 250.
You end up with the sort of utter dross we saw when SA tried to bat out 3 days in India earlier in the season
How is that hard to get? You actually thought this was a great test? Pujara breaking the record for most balls faced? Contrast this with the India v Aussie 2014/15 series, the 2001 series, the 2008 tour - or this -
