Tom doesn't survive the next one, though. Pitched up and going across him and all he can do is edge big Morne to slip.

    11/1

@Hooroo He's currently got the fifth most test runs of any batsman in 2017. 🙂

@Hooroo Looks like Hesson has funked him up by making him take the keeping gloves!

Aaarghhh - Little Kane gone lbw for 2.

He reviewed it, but there's no ball tracking and he has to go.

About the only good thing in that is it looked pretty plumb to me, so we probably save a review!

No ball tracking seems t9o happen too often in NZ.

This Broom guy is in hot form (last five international innings: 8, 2, 2, 0, 0). Can definitely see why he got called into the test team to bat at four.

    yea! awesome! Test cricket! wooooo!

It's okay, SA were the same spot in the first test. Raval and Nichols now need to put on a couple of hundred....

Lucky we have a great number 5 to come in and steady the ship.

Oh hang on, it's Nicholls. We're fucked, really fucked!

She'll be a 3 day test this one.

@Gunner no it won't. Boult isn't playing, so the saffas will bat for a day and half at least. Wait, that still leaves us a day and a half to bat twice. shit.

Not often you see a bowler not want to refer LBW and the captain over-rides!

Everyone on here was saying he should be called up after how he did against Bangladesh and in one innings against Australia. Let's be honest. Neil Broom may have hit a purple pitch at the end of his career. He may have been the best option for us and in an alternate universe he might have been relatively decent. However, a 35 year old who has already tried and failed at international level isn't going to suddenly start scoring a lot of runs against perhaps the world's best attack. When old guys are selected and do well it, it is generally because like Voges or Hussey they were just kept out of the team by better players,
