Who is Masaga injury cover for?
There are a few backs out with long-term injury, so it could be for any of them?
- Sam McNicol (concussion; since the end of last SR season; missed entire Mitre10 Cup season)
- Charlie Ngatai (no explanation needed)
- Glen Fisiiahi (knee reconstruction; out since June 2016)
Also injured is Chase Tiatia (broken ankle; out since October 2016) but in November they expected him to be back in March.

Cheers @Stargazer I thought there was a recent one I wasn't aware of.
Maybe they felt they needed another hungus now that Augie has gone?

@Stargazer Cape Town - The Chiefs have announced the arrival of former wing Lelia Masaga, who returns to the side as a back-up option should injuries strike.
Masaga, who left the franchise in 2013 after having made 91 Super Rugby appearances, has been playing his rugby in Japan in recent seasons.
But he is now back in Hamilton, with head coach Dave Rennie admitting the finisher is a decent back-up to have on their books during this year.
"Lelia's a good man so he could well feature (later in the campaign) if we get some injuries," coach Rennie told TVNZ of the 30-year-old wing.

Reports are that Kurtley Beale is returning to Australia at the end of the current English season. They say he will sign with the Tahs with the 2019 RWC a huge goal. Great news for Super Rugby.
Confirmed: Beale has signed with the ARU and Waratahs until the end of 2019

He's another Australian player who was really good at one point in 2011, and then sorta hasn't been since.
It's good for rugby down here he's back though, good for the Super competition, good for the Wallabies, good to get a player coming the other way for once. I hope he goes well.

@mariner4life Super Rugby wise he was pretty awesome for the Tahs in their title winning season of 2014.
