The NBL is eye popping

@ACT-Crusader at the Bullets game last night, every time someone hit the court (Tory Craig mainly) my 5 year old asked if his eye had fallen out.
I can't believe how quickly he recovered afterwards
-
@mariner4life that was a decent game last night. Cairns have all the tools to take Adelaide. They have good depth and the new import will keep getting better.
-
yea, Mitchell is a huge pick up for us. He is still lost at times while he learns the plays, but he doesn't mind taking it on himself, and his passing is phenomenal. Trice can score heavily if allowed, and that's something we haven't had for a while.
Still, last night a pretty ordinary Bullets side was close for a long time, and Fearne's game management still worries me. And we over-do the whole Jawai thing. We look better when Egwu plays.
Thursday was a much better win.
I'm not holding my breath. We've got the Hawks, and Adelaide twice i think.
-
Finals! Cheers Breakers and wildcats.
Looks like the 3 smallest budgets are going to play finals this year
-
Watched the Breakers game last night. Finn Delany!! A big game from the Chief as well who was epecially aggressive in the 1st Q. That Melbourne team is stacked as Wesley is buried deep on their bench. The Breakers did well without either of their PFs.
Now we need Melbourne to beat Perth in the last game. Your lot upsetting the 36ers might help too.
-
While that would be ideal, it's a big ask down there
-
@mariner4life That result made no difference to the Breakers in the end as the Hawks also won.
The Breakers fate rests on Melbourne beating Perth at home today. Otherwise those fuckers from the West are in the playoffs AGAIN. I hope Goulding has a huge game.
-
@mariner4life Me too, but if he gets hot Melbourne have a better chance of winning.

You must feel dirty saying it
-
Goulding got 21 pts I see - 3 pts too little.
I'll say again, anyone but Perth. Perhaps the Taipans can finally win a title eh @mariner4life ?
-
Never cheered for United ever and given Perth and United are my two hatiest teams it wasn't easy. It showed everything wrong with Dean D's coaching last night - all the standing around, going away from high pick with Ware. Just dumb.
Breakers dropped a number of games they never should have this season so not too disappointed. Was good to see us finish the season with some good wins. It was NZ Warrior-esque...
-
@canefan I'd agree. Henare had to juggle his starting five all season due to long-term injuries. Abercrombie was out for a decent stretch too, and then both Mika and Mitchell at the end. Delany and Illi have come on this year and maybe Dillard is the PG they need going forward. There is the nucleus of a good competitive team for 2018.
-
We're getting stitched up. Fucking refs. Perth fluffybunnies
-
@mariner4life I see Tony Mitchell has been banned for the entire 2017-18 ANBL season for throwing the ball at a referee after the Taipans' SF loss to Perth. Looking at the video it did look deliberate. I'm not going to comment on the refs as I didn't seen any of the SF games (the season ended for me when the Breakers didn't make the playoffs). But judging by your comment below perhaps they deserved it.
All I will say is that I hope the Hawks win the final and that the zebras don't gift the title to those piston wristed gibbons from the West.
-
Tony Mitchell had some discipline issues. But jesus the Wildcats get away with a lot of shit other teams get called for in the same game. Fucking Martyn can run the length of the court leaning on a player, but mysteriously never give away a foul. Matty Knights just pushes people and the other player gets called.
Fuck Perth. Go the Hawks.
Oh, and the suspension is meaningless because Tony won't be back in the NBL.
