Much better game to watch. Less messy, fewer handling errors, and better ref. Highlanders lead at half time 14-0 against the Brumbies.

The Highlanders have beaten the Brumbies 14 to 7.

    Now, Crusaders v Samoa.

Tamanivalu scores for the Crusaders. Looks weird in a red and black jersey. Nice that the try assist came from his nephew Mataele. 7-0 Crusaders

The Crusaders lead 7-0 against Samoa at half time.

Samoa had most of the possession and was stronger on attack, but the Crusaders defence has been solid.

The 3 minutes that I've watched it just looks like 7's with more players on the field.
Reluctance to commit to the breakdown, fanning out on D.
And its just like Wellington, no-ones there.

Jed Brown scores for the Crusaders. Some good play from the red and blacks, who are getting more possession in this second half.

this game at least looks better organised than the Blues/Reds game, which looked like a bunch of mates down the park.

The Landers and Ponies game was pretty good and this current one isn't too bad either. Better urgency at the breakdown.

The organisers gave ticket holders that brought seats in the sun the option to sit anywhere they wanted to.

The teams playing later have had the benefit of seeing what works. The first three matches had sides taking too many risks deep in their own territory.
It looks closer to XVs than 7s

WTF, why is Foxtel repeating this shit which they started the broadcast.
It is supposed to be the Hurricanes V Force now according to the online program I have.

Might they be filling time due to heat?

Perhaps but there wasn't any announcement of such.
That does make sense as it seems pretty damn warm, but not as hot as Sydney 😉

@RoninWC No, there is a short break and then it's Rebels v Panasonic Wild Knights (6.33pm NZT = 3.33pm Brisbane time). The Canes v Force game is at 7.01pm NZT = 4.01pm Brisbane time

@Stargazer Thanks, I think you highlighted my error... Brisbane time.
I had forgotten that those redneck Queenslanders are so backwards they don't observe daylight savings time and they are 1 hour behind their superiors.

    Cheers

Two teams are now playing their second game of the day, while others still have to play their first. I guess that's because some teams play 3 games today, while most play only two?
