For all of you in Aussie who are interested in 7s: if you didn't know this already, the Wellington 7s will be televised LIVE on FOX Sports 2 (ch 256).

@Rugger-Quizzes seems silly to make that the only option.

Give them choice, 1 4-5% and then 3 or 4 low alcohol, not giving them the choice just makes it worse IMO

It seems a bit stupid. I can down a lot of light beer but if I have a quality IPA, I probably only want to drink one or two.

Anyway, we look pretty good here against Samoa.

Half time: NZ 21, Samoa 0

AB7s are looking good. Very patient. Rookies haven't been introduced yet; probably in 2nd half.

Convincing 33-7 win for NZ. It was a draw between France and the USA, so NZ sits on top after 1 game.

Old firm like DJ and Timmah looked good.

    Good start by AB7s

    Half time: NZ 14 - 7 France

A stronger opponent and the score reflects that. The AB7s have to defend more. Need to stay focused during the 2nd half.

    Full time: NZ 21 - 14 France.

The AB7s are through to the Cup Quarter Finals (are whatever they are called nowadays).

    Take the win.

Didn't see the game. Was busy. But as an aside is the mobile version of the WR Sevens website as useless as I think it is?

I can't for the life of me find a schedule for matches on there. Straightforward on the full website on the laptop.

Looks like they're only selling low alcohol beer for the most part this year with exception of the Pavilion Bar. Was thinking of showing up today and buying a ticket but won't bother this year.

This should hopefully be the last Sevens the capital ever gets. What a joke compared to the glory days. I can sense the lack of hops in the beer from the gritted teeth Facebook updates I'm getting.

It's a rugby tournament and rugby is our reason for watching. Have seen a lot of entertaining games today and we're thinking of going tomorrow. Don't give a shit about beer or beer prices. We can drink that in the pub or at home afterwards.

The way South Africa have played today, they sure must be one of the favourites to win the tournament.

When the event is no longer about yhe sport ...

Reckon all stadiums in NZ should be low strength. Mid at most.

Enjoyed the footy I watched today on tele. Looked like it would be very civilised at the game.

NZ beats the USA 24 to 12 and finish first in the pool. The AB7s will play Fiji in the Cup QF tomorrow at 1.00pm.

Must admit that 3 out of 3 is more than I had hoped for when the team was announced. So well done! That 18 year old newbie, Vilimoni Koroi, looks promising. Scored his first try in this last game.

The AB7s didn't have the most difficult pool, so tomorrow will be a lot harder, although Fiji is not last year's Fiji ...

What's with Scooters Billy Idol sneer - did they push one of his plugs too far down and he had a stroke?

Avoiding South Africa was huge. No way there was 15k at the stadium today. Hopefully a few more turn up tomorrow.

Just checked the TicketDirect website and if that site is correct, it's almost impossible to get silver zone tickets, or at least to buy them online. So many seem to be unavailable, what's up with that? Most available tickets seem to be in the premium area or in the areas behind the posts. Is this site reliable? Or have they all been reserved for sale at the ticket booths? It's unimaginable that that many tickets have been sold.

Thank god for that, I thought it was me, the mobile app and site are completely useless for up coming fixtures and results.
