Their raspberry one is decent for what it is. Definitely a good option for this time of year.
I don't mind the odd fruit beer MN5, don't listen to them
If they offended me I would have left ages ago or better still, gone to Stuff.co.nz and demanded a public apology.

@MN5 what about diet water?
Only with a slice of lemon....
Whoa....hold up.....that's not gay is it?

I had a sip of my friend's Becks Alcohol Free beer today, it was actually better than I expected. It actually vaguely tasted like beer, and not too much like malt beer. (which I can't stand).
One day I might buy a bottle of Brewdog Nanny State, just to see if it's drinkable. Apparently it's one of the better ones.

I'm a bit late to the party here but when I was in Flanders last year I made a point of trying as many of the Belgian beers as I could. I've always been a fan of the Trappist beers so it was good to have such a large variety available.
Italy also has some really nice craft beers now.

I've tried those Italian ones. I found them overpriced and not that exciting to be honest

NZ is blessed with craft beers. Our hops and malt are outstanding - we live in great times
Had a good brew session yesterday. Got 100L into the fermenters, now happily starting to ferment. It's a lovely wee Riwaka/Kohatu pilsner for the late summer surge we are sure to have. Best Hobby Evar!

Now I can understand low alcohol beers, but no alcohol....
@nzzp yeah the Riwaka hops are supposed to be good, unfortunately the brew I put down using it, I lost about 90% with too much oxygen in it, meaning I open, it volcanoed everywhere.

sure it was oxygen? Sounds like it could be either an infection, or too much priming sugar. I went kegging a year or so ago and it's awesome -- but have had a few recent gushers in a batch we bottled for Christmas.
-
@taniwharugby cool. As long as you know what you did wrong ... drinking during brewing can be an issue for me sometimes. Somehow leads to simple errors
on a side note, the new hop harvest comes out soon - will be great. Fresh hopped beers can be a thing of beauty - they used to do a pub crawl thing here in Auckland, but haven't seen it for a while.

To all the twats that think they know it all, this is for them.

@Hooroo is this just beer going through the same snobbery you have had and still get with some wine drinkers (whisk/e/y as well, and probably coffee and all sorts of other stuff)
But the comment she made where the dude said "Recommendation? I don't think so. I know more about beer than anyone else here!" was probably @MN5 and deserved a good kicking for it!
Assuming you know more about a topic than someone you don't even know is arrogance in the extreme.
Beer, like wines and other alcohol, flavours and enjoyment is all subjective.

I've never said I know more about beer than anyone, far from it.
I do however look at people who drink shit beer with more disdain than Trump looks at Mexicans though.
-
@MN5 oh well, I feel your look of disdain, I had a Tui (which was warm, but circumstances meant it was fine) a week or 2 back, and a Sol this week, not sure what look you give me for my home brew
edit: actually had 2 Lion Reds on Friday too

@MN5 that's because you are a massive fucking piston wristed gibbon
Coffee, Whisky and Wine piston wristed gibbons are far worse.
