Anyone else watch that amazing BBL game last night? Everyone for the Renegades chipped in as they smashed 222/4 (hitting 9 sixes between them). Hard to lose from there right?
Hobart ran them down on the last ball. Young McDermott hit 114 off 52 (with 9 sixes), Bailey hit 59, and Stuart Broad hit 11 off 4 in the last over to get them home. Great chase, great game.

Caught the last ball, saw the score, then realised the TiVo had the last half hour buffered so I rewound for a look.
The Hurricanes were utterly in the shit from about 15 overs, losing wickets like a pack of shunts. Bailey helps steady the ship, then shit goes sour when Finch puts on his worst fucking bowler for the last over when the opposition go 8 down.
Seriously, he should have put himself on. Perera is crap. Nice step-across by Broad for the first 4, but the rest was just shit.

Was an amazing game. Normally around 30% of BBL games are fizzers, and you can pretty easily call the winner after the first innings. This year I reckon that's dropped to about 10%, it's great.
Agree with Nick though, Perera's bowling in that last over was just dross.

The last over has really cost the Renegades. When Finch had to bowl the last against the Scorchers, and Agar put him over the fence was another close one lost at the last second

ODI series underway. Aus 65/3, with Warner, Smith, and Lynsanity back in the sheds already (of course Lyn hit a 6 over mid-wicket before getting out). Travis Head doing all the scoring, and he's joined by the awesome (just for you @NTA ) Mitch Marsh
-
Now Head gone, and it's 70/4 after 13.
Weeeelllll, well it's The Big Show!

Have Aus let the test success go to their heads? They've picked a great T20 side, but it looks ultra reliant on Smith batting for a long time. It's a team made up of hitters.
And now Marsh goes and they are in deeeep shit. Relying on Maxwell, Wade and Faulkner to bat for 33 overs.

They should have picked Usie but it is still a good line up. Just so happens that most of their best batsmen are hitters.

Maxwell looked to be doing the job, then got out, 161/6 after 31
-
Faulkner gone now as well

Aus hanging in there, Pakistani spinners making life difficult.
But the Aussies have Hazlewood, Starc, Cummins and Faulkner. They could probably declare now.

A feast of cricket today, the test and now Aus v Pak and Ind v Eng. Though Ind v Eng is hard to watch as there's a weird high pitched siren-type noise going the whole time.
Pakistan in with a real shout here. 140 needed from 192 balls (take note Sky NZ - that graphic is up 100% of the time) with 9 wickets in hand. Helped by Smith dropping a sitter.
I wish they'd just leave Lawry in the box for the entire game. He does a great job evening out the constant flow of crap from the other comms.

Well, despite the recent criticism Pakistan have done what we didn't really get close to doing - beat Aus in Aus. When you see them put a complete performance like that together you have to wonder how they have been so dire the past couple of months.
In the other match England smacked 350 from their 50 and then had India 63/4... and lost fairly comfortably in the end after Kohli and Jadhav went beserk. Pretty awesome match by the looks. Fuck India are hard to beat at home.
