Black Caps vs Bangles

Re WASP. This is going to sound more rude than intended.
But if you don't like WASP ignore it.
I like it. It is, I expect, the Duckworth-Lewis calc.
And again, it takes into account, even if only statistically, how many/whether there are any decent batsman left etc.
As for runs required v balls / overs left it's usually reasonably easy to work out in a T20.
Harder for an ODI (at say 31 overs to go ...)

I don't mind if they display it from time to time, but the RPO and runs/balls should be static on the screen for the entire run chase. It's by far the most important statistic.

Time for cult hero CDGH to play a blinder.
And he does. Well played.
As for Henry - he really does have all the variations for a death bowler. Steak and cheese, chicken and vege, even the classic mince.
-
How Henry is in a limited overs team is beyond me, he is atrocious at run restricting at the end.

Only one surprise in the test team named today, and that is Henry Nicholls keeping his place.
I thought they would have given Neesham or Broom the 5 spot.
I can't believe he's still there, if he cant score some runs this series that'll be him gone for sure. -
Broom is out injured, broken finger I think it was.

He's young, if you look at his last 3 test series SA in SA, India in India - thats 2 of the toughest intros going, even Pakistan in NZ isn't great for a batsman as their bowling unit is OK, its their batting overseas thats awful.
So to drop him right before a terrible test team with no bowling unit finally tours would tell us nothing. Especially if they gave his spot to an old guy. What would we learn then? That anyone can score off the Bangles? Its like when Sinclair would get dropped for a home visit by Zimbanwe & then selected to tour Australia & fail
If Nichols can't score off the Bangles in NZ then, yes, test cricket is maybe not for him. But he should get the chance, its not like we have a lot of 25 year old batsmen kicking the door down.
