Black Caps vs Bangles

Neesham gets stumped.. After looking pretty good..
Criminal way to get out.
We need some big runs from the unfashionable Broom and Munro now.
-
Munro leaves the farm gate wide open and Masrafe strolls on through. Awful technique.
Time for Ronchi to play his once-every-5-years innings and get us up to something respectable.
-
We should be aiming for 250 and hoping the movement is still around when we take the new ball.
-
Broom very good on the sweep....
-
@No-Quarter how you must have cheered when he made the squad - been waiting to unleash that have you?
-
I tested the joke on my family but they didn't seem to understand the hilarity of it. I knew my fellow Ferners would get it.
-
I was hoping Broom and Ronchi would get us through to at least the 40 over mark. Ronchi gone in the 38th... very soft dismissal which is a shame as he actually looked pretty good when given a chance to build an innings instead of having to go the slog from ball one.
-
Santner fails with the bat again. We really need someone to stick it out with Broom.
-
Glad I'm at work and not able to watch this rot.
I'm hoping the pitch has something to do with this below par batting performance??? If not, and we've just out and out batted poorly, I think the Bangles will chase down 250 odd (if we get that many) quite easily!
-
Seems a poor batting effort from nz. Hard to know if the pitch is difficult or we have just been really poor. Have to wait to see how the Bangers go.
Either way what a legend Neil Broom has been. Done enough to cement his ODI spot moving on. What about the Vacant test 5 spot?
-
Ferg goes and then Boult nearly gets cleaned up, which would have left Broom standard on 99!
Chance to bring up the ton now.
-
100 from 101. Special innings, very happy for the guy. Someone mentioned picking an experienced player had merit, and that has proven to be correct. Good stuff.

It's not a great pitch for batting, even in the final overs there's some movement off the pitch. The Bangles got the new ball to hoop around so hoping Boult and Southee can do the same.
-
Some meaty blows from Boult to get us up to 244/9 with one over left. Broom on strike.
-
251 from the 50, Boult run out off the last ball. Broom 109*, next top score Ronchi on 35 so he really carried us there.
We are about 20 runs below par but if we bowl well there is more than enough movement around to defend that.
