Forthcoming EOYTs

I found this in a 2012 post so not sure if it was set in stone that far back but may be an indication. Number of tests in brackets
"June Tests" (home first)
NZ v BIL (3)
Aus v SCO
SA v FR (3)
Arg v ENG
Jap v IREESPN have the following which makes more sense
June 2017
Sat 10 Fiji tour Australia v Fiji, Melbourne
Sat 17 Scotland tour Australia v Scotland, Sydney
Sat 24 British and Irish Lions tour New Zealand v British and Irish Lions, Auckland
Sat 24 Italy tour Australia v Italy, BrisbaneBut no EOYT listings
I'm guessing NZ plays Wales and Scotland on rotation, but if no England test then IRE, FRA and ITA come back into things
AUS played everyone this year except ITA. Do they play ENG again? -

Cool, so SCO, WAL and FRA in that order is pretty good.
I am guessing there will be another fundraiser somewhere as well at the behest of adidas/AIG but who do we play? Japan in Japan as a taster for the place pre RWC?Only if you follow the order of the pictures, but the pictures aren't placed in chronological order on that webpage. If you look at the dates, it's France, Scotland, Wales.

Probably better. Gets easier as it goes

WR really needs to organise a match between the All Blacks and England. It's fucking ridiculous that they don't play until 2018. I could understand it if England were Tier 2, but Tier 1 teams should be playing each other every year.
If England get to 18 wins on the trott I reckon they should make their 19th vs the All Blacks. It'd be a WC final outside of a WC. Would be epic
-
@No-Quarter dunno, I like that we don't play them all the time, and it adds to the mystery about the result by being a less familiar opposition.
I think it will be good for rugby if England take that win record, while there is no argument about who is the best rugby nation on earth, having someone else holding a record such as that and us not holding everything is surely good, even if it has to be England...fluffybunnies.
-
@taniwharugby we last played them in 2014. One match every 4 years is nowhere near enough.
-
@No-Quarter I wonderif 2017 being a Lions year had any bearing on the matches for the EOYT?
You have to go back to 2002 for the last time we had a decent break in playing them, but was only 3 years then.

We did play a proper 3 test home series against them in 2014 and then backed it up with an EOYT match.
We were "supposed" to meet at the 2015 RWC, but they stuffed up....

Part of the idea of bringing in 3 test series in june was to not have one-off matches every year against everyone. To create some anticipation, some mystique, some craving like a heroin addict who's dealer has disappeared.

Edit: England have another 3 test series against
NZSouth Africa in June 2018.
Ireland play Oz. And Wales have ???.The 4th out of window test is decided by the unions involved. Ireland pitched to NZRU about playing in Chicago this year. There was a 4th test being discussed for November 2017 which featured the discussion about English RFU offering £1.5m as the match fee for NZ and NZ making a counter offer of £3m to more properly reflect the total revenues from such a game of £9m from ticket sales and food/corporate hospitality. No agreement reached so match is not going ahead. Edit : Therefore, the next WR in-window test is the Nov 2018 series.

@Pot-Hale do you have a link for this schedule?

According to this old media release, England will tour South Africa in 2018, not New Zealand:

You're quite right - don't know why I had NZ in my head. It is France playing NZ in June '18.
Eng in SA, Irl in Oz and Wales in Arg.
