    Tubby? Captain Obvious? The Best?

Nup. Chappelli easily. Grumpy as fuck. Tells it like it is

@NTA Of the new era - yes. Chappelli was better when he had Greig to argue with. Now they're a bunch of sycophants.

I think Clarke is easily the best of their commentators. He at least tries to talk about the cricket. Warne is probably the worst.

Dare I mention KP? Does he get paid per word? Speak less, you'll say more.

@booboo From what I heard last night every second line KP was chipping at Tubby, Healy etc for being fat. Straight into the blokey nothingness vacuum that defines the current Channel Nine panel.

Was at the Adelaide Oval for the first two days, thoroughly enjoyed it. Crowd was a little bit lighter than I thought it would be, but I'm now totally onboard with the day/night concept. Makes it a really interesting day, especially as day turns into night.

Helps that it's been a great game so far, couple of cracking innings from Waj and Faf, with some good bowling mixed in and the Aussies getting on top.

It was a faint edge and also hit his pad, which probably made him think he didn't hit it.

Not sure why they're making such a big deal about the Renshaw drop. Everyone knows Wade is a shit keeper, the fact he didn't move should not be much of a surprise.

The whole way through this Test has felt like one team has had big kick up the backside and is responding to it well, while the other has just won five in a row with less to play for plus the distraction of Justice 4 Faf.

Easy to say that in hindsight, Donsteppa, but I've been pleasantly surprised with this Australian effort. We picked three debutant batsmen, none of whom were really banging down the selectors doors. We made a few other changes to boot, and against a settled SA lineup I would have tipped another comfortable SA win...

I did too, up until halfway through the first morning 🙂

It does seem to have been the experienced players lifting for Australia. Khawaja with the bat (though I see he's 0 off 2 out now in the second dig), the experienced bowlers stepped up, and of the four scores above 50 with the bat, three of them were Khawaja, Smith, and Starc.

South Africa from the bits I've seen have looked at about 90%, which is still bloody good, but they're missing that slight edge about them from earlier in the summer (or haven't been allowed to keep it).

Renshaw is a bit dour compared to some of our recent openers, but this is on point:

Faf bitching to the umpires about extending the session.

You won the series. Be happy with it.

    Worry about your appeal, bru.

Appropriate that the two young blokes were out there at the end.

Where the FUCK was a bit of that attitude in the first two Tests?

What a ridiculous turnaround from the previous test.

......and by "ridiculous" I mean "good" in a roundabout way.

Pretty crazy. Saffers weren't quite as sharp on the bowling front, but new kids Renshaw and Hanscomb stood up where others had failed.

Helps that The Waj and Smith finally decided to bar up and fight a little.

Warner's injury might make things interesting for another opener. Quite frankly, the Channel Nein crew can fuck right off with "Awww that's just the way he plays!" because in those conditions, it just fucking ISN'T the way you play, clearly.

Anyway, Faf's still a fluffybunny, we've got Pakistan coming up, and I hope I get some time at home to watch Starc swing it in humid Gabba conditions.

That 147kmh swinging shit on middle stump is immensely hardening.

Hard to see the Pakis give your boys much trouble to be fair judging by their limp displays in NZ.
