2016 End-of-year internationals

@ACT-Crusader Yeah, and that all in the 5th minute.
-
I was betting that there were would be red cards this weekend in matches on dangerous tackles given the WR edict to refs. Two last night in PRO12 matches and now one against England. I suspect it won't be the last one with Aus/Irl and Wal/SA likely to be testy matches.

Haha, and the commentator starts whinging, conveniently ignoring that the England player landed on his feet! That's never a card.
Barnes said that the player landed on his feet.

Stupid, stupid, stupid. Argies giving away too many penalties and now also a penalty try and YC. England leads 16-0 after 30 minutes.
Agreed. You'd never know England have only 14 players on the pitch.
-
Argentina turning it on at scrum time and winning the battle. They get Cole yellow carded under England's posts.
No penalty try given as they go for fourth scrum in a row.
-
And Argentina score in the fourth minute after halftime.
16-7.

For some reason over here (Thailand) we get the Japan v Fiji game instead of any of the other good games going at the same time. Early red card for Fiji as well. Their number 7 received two yellow cards in the first half. Like the England game it's not having a great effect on the game, Fiji up by 17 points in the second half...

OBrien fails a late fitness test for Ireland apparently so Van der Flier starts with OMahony on the bench.
Interested to see how we bounce back this week. Should do well up front but I can see attacking being an issue again.
Sexton, Henshaw and Zebo are our first three playmakers and none of them start. Big performances needed from Jackson, Ringrose and Earls.

It does seem slightly perverse that the way the tackled player lands should be a factor in determining the penalty. I have no issue with the red for Daly, but the Argentinian challenge on May merited a yellow.
