Cubs or Indians?

@Hooroo There will be fans who support both teams and others whose support depends on where you live in the city (North side or South side). But it's not as tribal as football in England from my experience.
The White Sox won it all in 2005 so I'm sure there are those that are gutted as the streak is over, but others will be just as happy a Chicago team won this time.

I think in the same way that I found the Canes not winning a Super rugby title a somewhat amusing stick to beat their fans with occasionally, eventually you don't mind too much when they win because they've suffered enough.
Especially after 108 years.
It is the end of an era, though and some of the Cubs mystique has now evaporated.

@Bovidae said in Cubs or Indians?:
@Chris-B. Of course, the irony is that the longest WS drought now belongs to the Indians.
Yeah - felt a bit sorry for the Indians. Given the injuries they apparently had, the Cubs probably got out of jail a bit.

Some great articles about the Cubs and what it means to Chicago, and I challenge you to find one better than this: http://www.espn.com.au/mlb/story/_/id/17961684
