Im pretty certain the above squads include Wider Training Group players.

Of course players get brought in from outside of these squads during the season due to injury.

Broadhurst named in the Canes - interesting - hopefully his concussion woes are behind him.

The Blues squad has 38 players, so it'd have to include the WTG players too.

Would've thought Joe Tupe would be an attractive option off the bench?

All the squads appear to have 38 players, so I'd guess WTG is largely a thing of the past.

The Lions tour should provide an interesting dynamic in Super rugby again next year. Probably not a great thing to have too many established All Blacks, as their focus will be on peaking in June. But on the flip side, a very good year to have fringe All Blacks, as they will be playing the house down to get in that June squad.

@Tim Haven't read anything about him staying at or leaving the Rebels. How many foreign players can Aussie teams sign? The Rebels already have signed two, a Japanese international and a Welshman.

Edit: according to this article from July 2015, he signed for two years, so that would mean he still has another year on his contract.

Where is the customary '6th Super Rugby team' made up of those left out or signed overseas because they weren't wanted?

Given that the Lions don't play any NZ teams, $7.50 seems like pretty good value.
