Probably better to download something onto your own device and watch that instead
You mean - buy a tablet, load it with porn, and sit on a plane watching that?
That's... something to consider. I did manage to scare away one fellow passenger with my drunken mutterings about "fucking stupid people, don't know how to do shit, fuck them all, ..." - for the entire flight. Porn-tablet... I like that, could be even better.I've never used them, but have been curious about these cheap VR setups that link to your phone. Then you could watch in privacy
Fuck all that. The point of it would be to get every fluffybunny around me to get lost.

Mountainhead
Don't bother. This looks like megalomaniac tech bros as interpreted by high school devotees of musical drama . At best a parody of caricatures that can't land the joke.

Bummer. Had this cued up and was looking forward to some Succession-level arseholery. Like say....

No review as such but I’ve decided to watch Heat again as it is 30 years since it was released.
Fuck me, that sure as hell makes me feel old.
Also RIP Tom Sizemore and Val Kilmer. Neither made a better movie than this.
( actually none of the cast did )
Early start so only watched half but still awesome. The other half whinged from the other room that the gunshots were too noisy. Great stuff.

Lasted 10 mins with this.
This aint so Succession.
Yeah as you say, a constant stream of tech bro "bantz", none of which lands. But maybe that's the point? They're the 1% but they're not 1% as funny as they think they are and we're supposed to laugh at them not with them?
Either way, too excruciatingly cringeworthy to tolerate.

It must be shit then, Succession became crap really quick.
Will keep watching Heat I think.

Slightly overrated. I prefer Deer Hunter, Carlitos Way and Scarface
Sizemore did Saving Private Ryan and True Romance. Absolute classics.
Kilmer did.......well he was in True Romance as well briefly.....and Top Secret is funny as fuck if completely incomparable to any of these
John Voight did Deliverance and Midnight Cowboy
So yeah, a few maybe equal but nothing better than the movie they all made together.

Bahahahahahaha, that movie is Cimino trying and failing to do Coppola - even Scarfarce and Carlitos Way, two films I love, aren't in the same league.
TBF if any movie is slightly overrated it would be Heat, just a glorified TV movie.
I don't have a problem with any of the others you named but Pacino and De Niro, no way.

What ? The Deer Hunter cleaned up at the Oscars, but then again so did the Godfather.
I guess it comes down to personal preference. Both bonafide classics.

Nah, as music snobbery is your thing, film snobbery is mine, you just picked the equivalent of the Jonas brothers over some "cool" rock band you rate.

Like I clearly stated and then reinforced for good measure.
Neither made a better movie than this.

I'm just as much of a film snob as a music snob thank you very much.
I think we've had this Deer Hunter argument before haven't we ? Not sure why you don't like it, did Michael Cimino turn down Hawkes Bay as one of the filming locations ?
One thing I've taken out of this, Robert De Niro doesn't have as many brilliant movies as I initially thought.

No matter how intense or well he plays De Niro, after a while it becomes a bit samey.

I've never seen that one. Is that Pacino or De Niro ?
