TBH the Crusaders deserved to win - they played the ref better and better rugby for ~75% of the game.

Blues ill-discipline and journeymen meant they couldn't apply pressure when it counted.

    Thought Zarn played pretty well

He kicks long but did nothing on attack.

Yeah his lack of speed I do think holds him back

If only he had his brother's pace

    Yeah his brother is awesome.

5 defenders beaten the most from either side. Good line break early in the second half but the only player available was Christie

@KiwiMurph You could have prime Nuggy out there and he'd be hard pressed making Ta'avao, Choat, Eklund etc. look like finalists.

He does lack pace though. Rather annoying

@KiwiMurph Sure, but I was responding to 'did nothing on attack'.

The Crusaders made some average calls on attack. No prop for Blues so they call the lineout. Prop comes back they call the scrum.

Intense game. Blues just a couple of silly errors away from holding out the home side.

Big pressure game that points to who can be considered for ABs and who misses out.
    Havent seen the game.
ABs winners and losers from each team?

If the Chiefs beat the Brumbies tomorrow are they capable of winning it? I’m just not sure if they have the mental toughness to get across the line.

Nasi Manu, James Lentjes, Elliot Dixon, Josh Hohneck, Liam Coltman, Ash Dixon, Daniel Lienert-Brown - ahh I see your point.

Has to be said , Sotutu really let himself down tonight when it mattered most .. its big games like this where the selectors take note.

But i didn't see any AB level performance in the packs TBH, the only AB performance for me tonight was Will Jordan

Thought that Havili was bloody good, and Blackadder had a good one. All the usuals stood up. Jordan,Scooter Barrett etc for Crusaders BB, PT etc for Blues. Thought Papali'i went well too.

Lam for the Blues had a very good first half. As did Rieko.

Jordan had a couple of magic touches that made the difference.

Blues starting tight five would only have Tuipulotu. Papali'i was busy.
