September is a good time for T.V (for those in the US and those here who use Bittorent sites)
Alot of shows have new seasons beginning.

Including Destination Truth, Family Guy, Cleveland Show, Simpsons (season 40 odd!), Fringe, etc etc.. -

A decent link to when all the network shows return (or premiere in the case of the new ones), so that you can fire up your torrent apparatus in a timely manor.
Cheers.
I use Wiki as well, they are a very good guide to a particular show and its up coming episodes etc. -
I'm currently watching the UK version of Life on Mars and have to say it's outstanding. In general I think a bunch of UK TV is overrated as people are anti US and often talk UK TV up out of proportion but this show is bloody good. I like all the Manchester accents and it is surprisingly funny.

I am old so have only just discovered JERSEY SHORE.. my lord that's hilarious. Train wreck TV..but brilliantly hilarious...even if the kids on that show don't realise that the world is cracking up at them.

One of the guys calls himself THE SITUATION ... gold. Gold in the fact that he gave himself a nick-name.. double gold in that it is The Situation..and he third persons himself too -

I just find it hard to watch, too painfull.

What i have enjoyed is Tool Academy, thats classy TV with bloody hilarious moment after moment. -
I have heard Life on Mars is very good, may look out for it...

Finished Generation Kill, was pretty good!

Being based on a true story makes it more compelling, and you just look at some of the character types and know if they werent in the military, theyd be in prison!! -
TR: Sons of Anarchy is available (in the cloud somewhere) now. I'm looking forward to watching it later tonight!

Re: Generation Kill. I read a review where the guy was whingeing that nothing happened, the guys were always moaning, that it was too disorganised - I guess some people just really miss the point.

Rusty: Have you been watching Rubicon? Is it any good? -
yeah I'll wait for several ep's of SOA to be available first...so I can watch it when I want.

SOA is one of my must watch shows during US Fall season. I usually watch one hour long show and one 1/2 a night.
I wouldn't be able to wait for it, I'm like a kid waiting for Xmas morning. -
when I get into a series (like SOA, Breaking Bad) I tend to watch a couple a night or night after night....
-
Rubicon is good, but it starts very slowly.
They did have a change of showrunner between the pilot and the 2nd episode which added to this. It really has picked up pace in the last two. Rubicon is one of those shows (like Lost or BSG) where you have to pay attention, and also think a bit. If you are twittering, surfing the web and only watching with half your attention you will miss a fair bit. It is an intelligent, and nuanced show. -
S3 of True Blood finished last night in NZ.

While again, have enjoyed the series, I thought the finale was pretty average, and while this is a series with Vampires, Werewolves, Shapeshifters, Demons, Faeries etc, I thought it started to veer off with too much going on?? Is hard to put in words, but almost like it is just adding in more mythical beings to give more options for stories...? -
It was a crap finale, of a overall pretty weak season. I might be done with True Blood. Far too many new characters introduced that are there in random story lines that then get abandoned. Perfect example being the high school quarterback tangent. Added nothing to the overall story arc, was kind of just abandoned. Example two Eric giving a car to Layfayette. Really? What a waste of time and pointless bit of the story. Useless filler. The only redeeming feature of the season for me was Denis O'Hare's portrayel of the King of Mississippi, Russel Edgington.

yeah he is very good!!

It was like they were building for the next series (Lafayette and his boyfriend - unsure how to spell his name - literally 'Heyzeus') without this one really going anywhere. -
I see they are finally showing Sons of Anarchy in NZ...starting next wed @ 2130.

Hows the 3rd series been going Rusty/Nepia? I am waiting until I have the complete series before I start watching (same goes for the new series of Dexter that started 3 weeks ago) -

There has been one not so good episode, but a not so good SOA is better than most tv shows out there. -
Cheers Nepia....is ep 6 just been aired hasnt it?

anyone seen Boardwalk empire? seen it advertised and looks pretty good! -
Yep, I've got Ep 6 to watch, but have to work tonight so wont be able to watch it until Friday night/Saturday.

Boardwalk Empire had two really good episodes and then one dud one, hopefully it returns to form next week. I like the mix of actual people as characters. It's interesting that I like it as I really don't like the two main actors: Buscemi and Michael Pitt, who both normally annoy me. One really stupid part is Gretchen Mol playing the mother of the Pitt character even though she looks the same age as him - it's just stupid.

Another show I'm enjoying is Terriers, a detective show set in San Diego about an ex cop and ex burglar as partners. It started off loght and breezy and has actually gotten quite dark in recent weeks.

Also, if anyone hasn't watched Community yet then watch it now, it is consistently hilariously funny after the first two or three set-up episodes.
