Super Round all but locked in for 2026, Christchurch is the venue to open the new stadium.
Just waiting on confirmation of some government backing to confirm. One team won’t get to attend the Super Round which is a shame.

I fan
I fully admit, probable reason for not being a fan?
Could be an age thing, weekend away drinking etc is not as appealing as it was 10 years back. I much prefer a quiet beer, then a game, followed by bed these days.ironically thats why i enjoyed the super round sin melbourne, more likely to catch a day/evening game, sit in the sun etc...still get home early enough
-
Christchurch will be a great location for a magic round. Central city stadium. Covered. Plenty of hospitality options near by. Only question is whether the city will be able to handle potentially 10k of fans coming into the city.
Will dominate the city for the weekend.

Yep, but I a kiwi living here, so Aus super round I wasn't getting home etc. And even here I would have to stay in Christchurch for weekend, like I say a bit younger I might be keener.

Help an old guy out here... what is super round? I am just guessing everyone playing in the same location for a round?
Is that a league thing?
....have you watched super rugby for the last 3-4 years?

Motels
peasant!
Country pubs for the win in South Island. Ranging from cheap-and-basic-as-fuck to expensive-and-'charming'-as-fuck.

The simple life of not getting lost walking around corridors. Old school keys. Being able to open windows and not having the shame of walking through a reception area.looking like death. Give me a motel any day

Interesting quarter finals for the Chiefs and Brumbies?
In week one of the Finals Series, Qualifying Finals will be 1 v 6, 2 v 5 and 3 v 4 with the higher-seeded teams to host
The three winners of the Qualifying Finals will progress to the Semi-Finals
They will be joined by the highest-seeded losing team (the ‘lucky loser’), who will drop one seeding for the Semi-Final draw
Semi-Finals will be 1 v 4 and 2 v 3 with the higher-seeded teams to host
