Super Rugby 2025

Injuries pretty bad, I guess it maybe hard to tell as this is the first time we've had this clarity. You've got to add those left out from niggles (eg proctor) and as yet unconfirmed injuries (eg Higgins)
n total, 62 players were unavailable for selection in the Super Rugby Pacific’s opening round – with 43 of those being across the six New Zealand-based teams. The Crusaders were dealing with the most absentees, with 13 sidelined

i'd love someone to go back and actually look at what its been like in previous seasons, if im honest i cant remember a time when we havent started a season without a few injuries....so thinking it is just the fact i wouldnt have looked at other teams before so where as i felt we were always unlucky...everyone might have been int he same boat
-
@Bovidae i noticed that as well and started to get shitty about it...then we did a few crooked ones and thought...at least hes being consistent and then decided it probably had little to no effect on the game so would rather play on than pull it back
-
@nonpartizan I used to always listen to The Breakdown on Spotify but they stopped putting it on there last year.

I wonder why that is? Would it be one of those type of things where they signed up for YouTube to have exclusivity rights?

@Yeetyaah oh shit, theyre marvel
Embarrassing if so. Leave that to the NRL if that’s what it is. Would looks ridiculous if that theme was copied.
Here’s hoping it’s the 1996 jerseys
-
@Landers92 plus the SA teams did it probably over a decade ago...you know...when marvel was big...rather than when its a bit of a joke
-
@Kiwiwomble yep thats it. Canes is Captain America, Chiefs have Black Panther.
-
couldnt they at least give the canes something like wolverine?...you know, yellow and black
may we got hulk because we had green for so long?....or completely random

Had the same thought, I guess the last Wolverine movie was R rated so not suitable? Idk.

some AI fun

I’ll look at the positive and acknowledge the fact they are actually making an effort and no doubt will be talked about all across social media which is one of the main objectives. That and targeting the younger generations. Just a shame it’s Marvel in my opinion.

The new CEO is willing to try new things and that’s a positive in itself. Yes the Fantasy league might follow a fairly simple structure but that’s on purpose to allow previous non-players to get used to the format. Now with these Marvel jerseys it’s all about bringing a bit of fun to the game for that younger generation.
When you include the recent release of Rugby 25, albeit the gameplay being a bit average, it’s all creating plenty of chatter online which is only a good thing for the game.

Who the fuck would want your team to be representing another f'ing country!?
