Far out. What a disaster. He might be dropped next game.

Definitely not the way you want to make an impression in the Big Bash.

Pros: lasted more than 2 balls.

    Cons: got a duck.

He will learn the difference between taking a NZ contract and being a freelancer. With the NZ Cricket contract, the national the national org will work to make him a better player when he misses out. As a freelancer, he is a poor performing financial liability for the scorchers. Perth would have seen him as someone who puts bums on seats. 10 runs off seven balls over three innings does nothing for him. Then there is his the damage to his potential sellability, runs don't just pay the bills, they secure the next contract too. Selectors in other leagues will be watching this shit run of form closely. He may quickly start to regret his decision to turn down the national contract.

You’re on the money there. He will need to go big in his next innings, that’s if he gets another chance.

Finn Allen turning out to be a massive flop for the Perth Scorchers. He’s just gone for a five ball duck which means he’s scored 10 runs in his four innings.

Stoked to see Finn Allen go back to back with 50 plus scores. His last two innings have been top draw

Yep, superb hitting. That's the Finn Allen we all know and love.

Incredible chase. That should have been a tough chase in a final and the run it down with 6 fucking overs to spare.

As brutal a hundred as you'll see

That was absolutely quality from Owen's, you won't see any better and to do it in a final was just pure magic. One of the great Big Bash performances and that will surely put him on the radar for other leagues around the world. Massive IPL contract incoming.

That performance is what we all hoped Finn Allen would do, but didn't.

Watching that innings from Mitchell Owen reminded me of a few years ago - when the youngest innocently asked why "they don't just hit lots of sixes?"

What a stage to play a legendary innings like that on.
