Yeah I thought it was pretty well done despite initial fears that the course was packed in to too small an error but it came off well.
I watched a bit of practice racing on thurs and fri from 30 floors high in the CBD and it looked good. Winds were a bit less than they got for racing but you could see how quickly these boats accelerate.
TV coverage looked great and they did it well looking back to the grandstand and the city so you couldnt actually tell it was low tide and the north shore side of the harbour was pretty much dry sand/mud.
Decent spectacle and tight and exciting racing for the most. Hopefully the $ numbers all worked and we get it back again.

Spoke to some guys that went to both days. Saturday on a boat yesterday in the stands. They raved about it.
From a sailing purists perspective, it was pretty exciting with lots of incidents but at the same time dull and a bit boring. I think the course is way too narrow which doesn't allow for passing lanes and means passing really relies on capitlising on others mistakes. Of which there were plenty. Aussie made the fewest mistakes and so were deserving winners.
NZ fucked up almost every start. Don't know what was going on. Most un- Burling like
