Just a bump.
If you havenβt voted in the first round yet, have a crack.
Some games may look forgone but there is a wildcard spot up for grabs.
Voting finishes Tuesday. Then the next round draw is made.
@mariner4life Sky has been showing archive NPC playoff games. I have recorded last nights Waikato-Canterbury SF from 1998, as I remember it well. I won't bother with the final. π
@KiwiPie you'll need to take that up with Hawkes Bay.
No need to take it up with us, he didn't play for BoP.
I didn't really think it through when I made the comment to be honest - have only just discovered this board.
He might not actually have played but I did once see him sitting the stand - and he wasn't even an All Black when we signed him so we pretty much made him the player he became!
I think his new contract didn't kick over until NPC time in 2012 - the AB website list Hawkes Bay as his province when making the ABs. π
But the news broke earlier which was the spur he needed.
Not to mention the best Photoshopping work of the century to date
ANd now Peter O'Shaughnessey has just been the subject to a somewhat "clumsy" tackle and is off undergoing the Head Injury protocol. Is Mark Sisam next in line or would one of the younger guys get the nod if Saus gets the three week stand down?
Time to bring in McClutchie - the Canes selectors might realise he exists then.
@Crucial That was where my question was being aimed at. Dawson should have been a certainty ahead of Tukino and anyone else you might have fronted with.
From memory he played some 6 in his later years (probably among the last 50 of his 200 games) but certainly wasn't at his peak then and was a much better 8.
I had a check and it looks like he was squeezed into 6 for Baabaas and North Island when he was playing 8 so you may be correct about his versatility.
