@darylmitchell I personally thought that Codie Taylor was one of the best and most consistent performing All Blacks this year so that maybe why you didn't see much criticism getting put on him.

@Daffy-Jaffy He's been training with them since pre season iirc. Was a late addition to the bench last night and made his debut.

I saw there was a segment about the Blues first day back at HQ on 1news sport tonight. Was looking out for any wider squad members. Some expected names like L Milo-Harris and Shilo Klein but was surprised to see Alex Harford the Canterbury boy making the shift.

I'd like to see ETS in the squad. Personally thought he was near even to Narawa as the Chiefs best back three player come end of season

Would have to imagine its James Mullan since McAlister and Taylor already announced as signings and Bell being very unlikely to be lost

I wouldn't mind seeing Vaa'i at 6 with the form he's been in with a Darry/Barrett or a returning Tuipulotu locking combo to balance our loose trio

@Bones Picked up an injury in the early rounds for Canterbury. Hasn't featured since.

@Bones not playing in the Champions Cup final never stopped Jonny from running his mouth to the ref. Playing or not he will find a way to sledge

I had thought I had seen Leroy Carter was meant to be with BOP again this year but he is not in the squad announcement. Wonder what he'll end up doing doing once he returns from the Olympics considering there has been some fern rumours about him being Chiefs 2025.

Have heard murmurs of Riley Hohepa to the canes. Not sure how reliable this is but he is a possible option that hasn't had much mentioned yet.

@george33 I think Hoskins super rugby form deserved an All Blacks selection, but to be honest I don't think that form has carried over well into NPC. He was the star of super rugby but hasn't provided much more to his case for All Blacks selection through his play at Counties.
