A Canadian player is about to get carded.
The referee tried his best to find a reason not to give the red. Kudos to him for having the balls for it

Only watched second half from phone, but jesus christ there were some absolute massive hits from both sides, nothing friendly about it today.

This is probably the best thread for this

A bunch of jerks called the Carolina Hurricanes just knocked out the defending champions Washington Capitals 4-3 in double overtime. All the top teams have been eliminated in the first round (Tampa Bay, Washington, Nashville, Calgary).
Think Carolina is everyone's team going forward unless you're Don Cherry.
And Justin "mr game 7" Williams with the assist on the winner. Now totals 7+8 in 9 career game sevens.

@nepia I have seen him being run down before, don't think he has ever had the top end pace that other top class wingers have, as he has always relied on his acceleration, step and leap. Tho seemed very pedestrian on that one, so might have had something to do with the bug too.

If anyone is interested, I have got an extra ticket for Wales-Australia on saturday as a mate had to pull off from the trip. Shit company, shit chat, expensive beer and the quality of the game will probably be shit too, pm me if you are keen.

Is Caleb Timu in the touring squad?
No 8 would be the biggest issue. Hanigan?

Would be surprised If The Aussies won't win this, best starting XV in a long time.

I didn't see the full game last weekend, but what I saw I thought Samu was good. The Hooper contract seems crazier by the moment. Tho it would probably be Pocock who drops out as long as Cheika is coach.

@taniwharugby I don't think so, a joint can easily get swollen enough without major damage. Think of an ankle sprain, it might look very bad the next morning and then be fine a week later.

We've become a team that can drag an opponent down to our level
Did the Boks really need that dragging?

Foley needs to get a rest at some point and not much options available at the moment. Toomua will probably slot a lot at first five to give Beale some freedom tho.
-
@antipodean I think he has also matured there, I remember one season at the Tahs he lost noticeable weight, but got it back during the season.
There is nothing the coach can do if a player goes home and eats like shit, that change needs to come from the player. -
He has really lost some weight in Saracens.
-
@bovidae Don't quote me on this, but I read somewhere he is only release to the AB games

MoodyNot many really world class sixes at this point in time. As you say Jldp might be a stand out for SAF for years to come.

@crazy-horse Robbie Fruean, beast at super level when fit.

It's funny when these disrespect things come up every now and then, I am basically looking all this rugby thing from the outside to in and for me it looks that the All Blacks are the side that most respect their opponents. Of course when you win everything for a decade people are going to look for any flaws in you, but disrespecting their opponents isn't one of them.
