Yeah they are pretty bloody good and I think I need to see if I can get some in bulk to cut the cost....
They do sell them in boxes on the Aussie Bodies website (aussiebodies.com.au) but it is out of order at the moment. The online store that is.

They are certainly not cheap.

I have used a couple over the years. I need to otherwise I end up losing weight.

if you are trying to lose weight I'd suggest limiting the extra protein intake in your diet. A well balanced diet will fulfill most prerequisites and body needs.

However, the best ones i have found are:

ASN (currently using) - Have found this really good and have added about 3kg in the last seven weeks. I am also on creatine though so some of that gain will be water retention. Tastes ok and mixes well. I add banana and berries to the shake in the morning and generally have a few berries with it in the evening as well. I also use their creatine and think it is the best I have used as it disolves easily, tastes ok (as much as that satuff can) and I am really feeling the affects from it.

Aussie Bodies - I really like these guys Protein FX bars. Good for a snack on the run or when you don't have the facilities to make a good shake. really easy to get at most supermarkets as well. Agree that their protein powder is rubbish.

EAS - haven't used their stuff for a whil but used it religiously when I used to do track. Always good quality and very popular with sports people. -
No. As a gentleman, I told her it was an excellent idea and handed her the bill.
Could this be the reason for the "non-conversion" of said young slapper? -
Hell I don't like the look of all that excercise, and muscle buiilding - surely I can eat my way to 72kg's.
Sure you can. The extra weight will just be a bit squidgy. <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />
Yep lost a Kilogram in ONE FARKIN DAY.
My record is six kilos in nine days. The joys of touring Egypt. You could almost set your watch to it. 20 minutes after eating it was straight to the nearest toilet (or hole as the case may be). My friend who I was travelling with (a chick I was scoring at the time) would be all keen to head off and see some more wonders of the ancient world and I'd have to pretend to want to take it easy for half an hour and let my food digest. Then I'd have to excuse myself for ten minutes whilst.....well that's probably enough of an explanation. Oh the agony. -
Are two minute noodles bad for you? The ones I have at work have 8 grams of saturated fat, whatever that means
The thing to watch with instant noodles is the salt content can be quite high. Check out the sodium levels on the nutrition panel and find the ones with the lowest salt and fat content.

8 grams of fat seems quite high in regards to noodles to me.

As an aside be careful you don't replace low fat foods with high sugar foods. Some people make the mistake of going as fat free as possible but don't actually realise that they have replaced the fat with sugar. Not good.

A bit of the topic of lunch but a few other tips fro eating in general:

Try and get some fish in your diet regularly. Great source of protein and good fatty acids which your brain needs. I like to have fish at least twice a week, although it does often come in the form of canned tuna.

As for red meat, well I love it as I'm sure most of you on here do. But look for alternative options aside from chops, sausages etc. Stick with the lean varieties as much as possible.

I'm a bit fan of Kangaroo! a part from the novelty of eating the national emblem of Australia it is also has the lowest fat content of any red meat. Kangaroo and ostrich are great if yo ucan get hold of them. Not sure if you can in NZ? -
Oh and the other think is a good nights sleep. Give your body time to recover from the pain you've inflicted in the gym. <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

I've always had an issue putting on muscle. Wasn't a problem during my track career but when it came to playing rugby later on it wasn't so helpful....

RB is right, compound weights and low reps are best. My only quibble (and this maybe a personal thing) is I prefer to keep rest periods between sets down to around the one minute mark. This means the muscle has time to do a little recovering before hitting it again. By having less of a rest however you are putting more of a strain on the muscle therefore forcing it to grow more.

As well as eating (a lot) and protein supplements, I have also found creatine and tribulus terrestres to be very helpful. It all adds up money wise though.

Make sure you have protein straight after a work out and first thing in the morning.
