Think about the wider comp rather than just the kiwi teams. Comp needs competitive entertaining games across all the teams
I’m a highlanders supporter, primary concern is the landers making it. But I absolutely agree
There has been a noticeable increase in quality this year. It’s shame some of the teams are carrying such a massive injury tole, could even better

So many positives so far even though the second half was a mess.
Manson is more than the bench merchant we thought he’d be.
I do worry about the defensive ruck work. Having Haig (when he’s back) and Renton will add some much needed size and work rate in that area. Our back row is too small atm. Puts far too much pressure on the front five to muscle up. Haig needs to fix his foot asap because his ability to cover lock (I.e shifting into lock 50-60mins in) will make life so much easier

Yes but the Highlanders never win those games. They just did.
Any other season the highlanders would have blown that. Good lessons from it and more importantly, a win. Great start to the season
Breakdown work by the highlanders forwards has been so poor

It’s commentary with bland, uninformed, inconsistent nonsense. Moana at the end of the day are terrible and the highlanders, if they didn’t make any mistakes, would have 50 on them.

Really would have thought the superiority of the lineout would have given the highlanders a lot more than it has
Hopefully they kick on and put Moana to the sword in the second half
Hasties box kicking and patience is light and day from what Fakatava delivers. Hope he stays in the starting position
The Highlanders have to focus on winning this game. Losing it makes finishing 3-5 in a very tight competition incredibly difficult. Getting the last play off spot and getting annihilated by the Chiefs in the quarter final is not the outcome this season needs
Of course we give away the penalty straight after scoring
Amazing awareness by Fakatava to get the ball out of the maul on time
