This series of posts shows exactly why the NPC > Super system is a bit fucked.
And yet, the unions think that they should be reserved seats on the board to protect the game. Great idea.

I would have thought that was the role of the forwards coaching setup. SW as a mentor, good idea.
Hall on the rugby pod suggesting that it is a Razor strategy for getting a voice in the room who he trusts that can provide back room advice and mentoring.
Hall has essentially said that at the end of the day it’s about his relationship with Razor.
In some ways, I think that it’s great that Razor values his experience so much, but it’s also worrying that he doesn’t seem to be confident of developing that culture without a player who has left.

@Mr-Fish Cullen Grace is fucking shithouse and is the worst defender in NZ.
If they move him to 6 and get him to focus on shifting bodies, he still has a future, but he’s shit right now.
If the evil empire can get a few wins to end the season, and have a few of their better players back, they are a team I wouldn't want in the first round.
Especially, if they can get better cohesion with what they can do with their available players, they could be much more dangerous. They look to me like they don't have a clear strategy of how they want to play on both sides of the ball.
If they simplified the game plan to maximise the skills of the players they have, I could see them being much more dangerous.
For example, I don't think they should be starting Heinz, but if they must, then ruck a kick/chase game off his box kicks.
Aumua should be brought into to 12 to be a go forward bail out option and basically the ball won't go much further past him (or Reece on the short ball) when they do run it unless there is a clear scoring option.
So, take out the side to side and opt for territory at the expense of anything in their half. Focus on in-hand kicking from 10 and from Fihaki, with lots of contestables to suit their wings and FB in the air.
For the forwards, the line-out needs fixing urgently. If they can't get that right, nothing else will really matter tbh. After that, it's accuracy on both sides of the ball and adding a few more class players.

I'm not sold on needing a lock/6 as long as the loose forwards have enough versatility to cover multiple positions.
That's the trade off isn't it. A 6/lock makes it easier to select a specialist openside on the bench. That can be a good option.
However it's easier to find an allrounder loose forward than a good 6/lock
It will be really interesting to see what Razor wants to do here - we have some useful allrounders in Jacobson and Blackadder (if he is ever fit) but I wonder what he will be looking for in his 7 and 8.
I'm wondering whether Ardie is going to return to 7.
HBO is so fucking good.
I'm back in JP and one local service has the HBO contract - I've started a slow re-watch of the Wire, which is still the best show on TV ever and started We Own This City, which is excellent (and cool to see some of the old players from The Wire back in action this time on the good side).
Sotutu you greedy fluffybunny
Beautiful try, great hands and short passing
Blues get there and the Saders might be glad - there could be a card here with more offsides
Why pass Peroshita?
Close game. Cant call it a good game with the errors.
That handling error really let them off
Oh wow, that’s how to defend a maul then ref?
Should be a card here - this will be brought back
Good reward here if this stands
Must be getting close a card here ref?
That was very nice from Sotutu
Saders give up and kick for goal
Jesus, Sotutu
