@Hooroo Matenga will be a big loss one of the standouts last season. BRING BACK BURKE! . Sam Cane would go 0k at 8 if available . Does anyone know if the young 1st five Tiaan falcon from Hawkes bay has signed with THE Bay?

Another good game lead by a dominant forward pack without probably our most consistent player in karpik. I do need to have a bit of a vent against the union re the info we as fans receive regarding the team and injury updates if they want us to turn up and spend our money at the gate they need to connect with us a bit more. There is also very little in the bay times to promote the team or provide us with more info. Seems the union has got a hell of a lot of things right this season but I don't fell connecting with fans through the media is one of them. lets hope for a good result against Southland and a strong game from Ta$man to get us into top spot.

Well Done to The Bay, Looks like the top qualifying spot may be crucial for semis and final where these two teams will almost defiantly meet. Hope the bay of plenty rugby union has signed Tiatia beyond this season he is so dangerous at 12.
Another Outstanding forward effort allowing the backs to show how electric they can be. GO THE BAY!! -
Looking forward to watching a game of rugby with quality pictures! thank you (SKY) also looking forward to watching Tiatia at 12 and Franklin playing for the bay again.
-
Good Win and could end up very important when it comes to securing a home semi hopefully if the boys keep winning and the Hawkes drop a couple of games we can finish top qualifier. Great scrambling D saved the day a couple of times in the game. Nice try to Finish the Game.

Might be time to stop experimenting with the back line and pick our 2nd five. I know we only lost by one point but I do wonder weather its time to shelve having two 1st fives at 10 & 12, like to see Skipwith Garland or Lalomilo given the chance to build a combination with Webber in mid field. Webber is great on attack but still has a lot to learn on defence hopefully he will improve each game. Hollinshead to start for me Trask to come on in the 2nd half and Hollinshead to fullback or bench.

The Tab also has Bay Of Plenty at $7.00 to be holding the shield after 10 rounds. Naki beats Otago Bay beats Naki and then holds it for the last two home games v the Hawke's and Manawatu. Easy money!

Good Win for the bay lucky to get the points after being tested big time upfront. Lalomilo looked good in mid field and thought we defended well. Another good game from Ajay Mua at 8 and Kurt Ekland played well at hooker. Does anyone know what the prognosis is foe Nathan Harris ?
-
The intercept to Ioane was a killer Hope Nathan Harris's injury isn't as bad as it looked. Auckland to strong but good to see the boys keep fighting till the end. The line out will need some work and the scrum was put under pressure for the Ist time this year.
-
I think the forwards should hold there own against Auckland but the backline defence will have to be top notch to limit the damage that Auckland can cause with Ioane and Caleb Clarke just to name a couple. Will be interesting to see how Dan Hollingshead goes at 12.
-
This will be a huge step up for the Bay boys up against the Ioane brothers but they have showed a lot of promise upfront and plenty of attacking options in the backs where there is now genuine competition for places.
-
@Stargazer A lot of attacking talent in the back line for the bay Ravouvou had a good game and was replaced at half time By Narawa who was just as dangerous when he came on. Forward pack was really dominant and I never felt like Waikato would get back into it. The Waikato Centre had a great game defiantly got the better of Webber.
-
Have to agree on the performance of karpik and Harris who was like an extra loose forward. I thought the reserves added a lot when they came on Matenga stood out. It was a real team effort on D by the whole pack and looks like there is competition for places across the board. EARLY DAYS but a got start and we will learn a lot more against Waikato.
-
Like the look of the front row of the reserves bench! Great to see Chase Tiatia back along with Webber. The mid field will be interesting think Hepetema will be missed a shame he wasn't offered a super contract, looks to be a totally different mid field with no Lalaki Foketi also.

@Snollygoster Great to hear Webbers back, Do we know if Tom franklin has signed?
-
Hard watch wouldn't think the Turbos were the team coming off a short turnaround
-
The only save in grace was that the Bay v Waikato game wasn't a shield challenge and we still have a chance at holding the shield at the end of the season.
-
Hello bay fans is there any one still left? Have all the mafia fans moved on to a new site and forgot to post the address. After watching the last game I can understand why some may be feeling a little bit over it but I am really missing reading post from the likes of Snolly and kiwi pie. The one positive I took from the Waikato game was watching Kapeli I think he deserves a spot every week weather it is starting or on the bench he tackles hard and has a heap of energy. Hope we will see foketi back soon he has a bit of the X factor I think we have been missing. Think the forward pack has missed having a player like Jesse Parete or a Joe Tupe who could dominate and give us some go forward. Hopefully the injuries will dry up and we can start getting some players back soon.

What a joke!! I took my daughter to the game and she had no interest in any of the other so called mascots but was happy to receive a lolly from Hori and wants to get his autograph at the next home game. Great game by chase Taitai and good to see the srum go well with all the changes. SHAME we don't have a stadium that's up to standard tho.
